Fun Fact: In the late 90s Vatican City was briefly the most violent country in the world per capita because members of the Swiss Guard (The Pope's Armed Security) shot and killed eachother in a double-homicide, resulting in 3 deaths including the suicide of the shooter.

Where's the proof for that?

Ironic since they're fighting another religious extremists group

you don't sound smart by using toddler logic, it only makes you sound like a moron and the sole reason why no one bothers to debate you

What's the point of having servants if you're just gonna do all the work? God sends his spirit inside his soldiers and they fight by his might. That's why all Glory is for him because if he had not given them the spirit they would have lost. Nobody can defeat God so whoever God is with will win 100% guaranteed.

So why did the Byzantines lose North Africa and the Middle East to Muslims? Why did Britain fail to convert India? Why did the Taiping Rebellion or every other Christian uprising in Asia fail?
>>

God was with the Muslims that day.

>Taiping
Are you implying every religious group that claims "God is with them" is true?

This line of thinking ultimately leads to atheism

That's why I am an atheist.

>>18543591
any line of thinking leads to atheism. religion is for the unthinking masses.
>>

Religious belief is what happens when you stop thinking. Or never start in the first place. You have to be content with accepting fairy tales as truth to believe in religious nonsnese.

The more you think the more religious you become. We have many problems in this age and the answer is catholicism, as it always has been the answer and bedrock of society. We have been stripped of this foundation. The entirety of european culture, art and science is founded on christianity. It is a large reason for their success. This is actually indisputable and an objectively true statement, you can furnish an infinitude of evidence for this.

I was born an atheist. I firstly found myself enamoured by Baroque music, by pure chance, the music beautiful music of which my ears have ever been blessed in all of my existence, which I then discovered the kernel of its splendour was religion, which was a realisation I was reluctant to make, as it is the most deeply religious of all classical musical periods. The themes of transcending the human conditioning, praise of the eternal, catharsis, the intense level of complexity and artistry that does not exist in modern secular music, etc that I found in the works of J. S. Bach, G.F. Handel, and A. Vivaldi. Then I began to love the architecture of cathedrals, then I began to love passages of the bible, finding it beautiful and wonderful moving the depths of my soul at artistry I have never been graced with before, something foreign to the modern secular mind, concerned only with the cheap and material and practical, and every corner I turned as my education progression I found that the chief polemic of history was traditionalism and modernism, and that catholicism was the true reservoir of traditionalism.
>>
That this traditionalism is by nature the highest state of the human condition, that one who walks here elevates himself. Theism or the belief in some form of god is quite intuitive to come into. The world itself is proof of a god, that there is a meaning behind meaning, a cause behind causes, that all that exists and that the eye can see moves in accordance to some indiscernible principle. I myself have experienced many strange things and coincidences that were too uncomfortable merely to be part of a meaningless material world with no guiding principle. The founder of physics, Sir Isaac Newton, of my great country, his output was vastly more concerned with theology than science, which is rather telling when you think about what the brightest minds in history were preoccupied with and motivated by. It becoming the specifically christian God requires closer study of the bible. I say catholicism because protestantism was the original atheism, the trend towards rationalism away from the sacred and towards individuality and commerce, and indeed you owe everything to them yet bite the hand that feeds unknowingly. Also barely slept apologies for spelling. There is nothing more clever about being an atheist than a theist. In America this disgusting breed of protestantism taints christianity's image, so I presume thats from where youre speaking, but of course because you are getting the diluted product.
