something interesting i've noticed lately is the fact that Nixon's image and reputation seems to have taken an upswing in the last several years. If you look at the comment section of the Nixon Foundation's posts of Nixon's interviews/speeches/etc on Youtube it's packed with people who have recently become admirers of him. The more I listen to him, the more I too also derive a strange sense of inspiration and admiration for him even though i'm entirely aware that he started to unravel into a complete fucking kook towards of the end of his time in office. I wonder what the reason behind his odd charisma is...
>>18548184I'd say the reason for his reputation improving is that Watergate is far less severe than what every 21st century American government has been doing.Today Woodward and Bernstein would be thrown in prison with bipartisan support.
>>18548184Nixon was one of the better presidentsHe had class and substanceHe did something illegal by covering up watergate but remember that he didn't order them to do itOfc all the liberals in the media spammed it for the rest of time to paint him as a crookHaving Kissinger in his cabinet is a big minus thoughhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixon_Jew_count
Compared to epstein I doubt most people care about the watergate scandal anymore
>>18548184Nixon is like a weird folk creature of American politics, almost like a mythic character. I think more T.V. shows and movies can benefit from random Nixon manifestations in surreal dream sequenceshttps://youtu.be/NDTiZoWWvG8
>>18548184>>18548237It's because everyone realized he didn't do anything wrong.>>18548315He was the best actually. Which is sad.Basically a Trump. ONLY GOOD because of a true love of the country. Does/do shitty things constantly, but without horrible intention to destroy the country. He won the largest landslide in history in 72 and then they used that to close the gold window and then destroyed him.Pic related is the best political diaries ever compiled and is incredibly eye opening.
A nothingburguer happened and the e press beat the boomers into a frenzy against Nixon. The boomers are dying and the younger generations recognize it was a nothingburguer
>>18548184he's still despised around the world (most of all because of Kissinger). But americans live in a jar so they don't factor war crimes in the reputation of their former presidents
>>18548727He's despised by leftist around the world because their ideology is beamed into their brains via nettflix and other american media. Leftist in Europe are by and large a carbon copy of the ones in America because they watch the same series and youtubers.
>>18548832how odd you should say that because Russia and China strongly respect him as a diplomat and statesman, most Nixon hate came from the domestic left.
>>18548846Who cares what they think, they don't represent you. Deng Xiao Ping was technocrat with no real beliefs and Mao had long stopped believing in anything besides having a harem, and Russia had reformed into incoherent nonsense by Nixons time.
>>18548896someone have been seeing too many Sarah Paine videos
the truth comes as boomers die out
LBJ was everything hippies claimed Nixon was.
>>185489522000 was 26 years ago, you must be 40 to still be stuck in your teenage years and that to be when it was
>>18548315>"Most Jews are disloyal," and "You just have to go down the goddamn list and you know they are out to kill us."
>>18548832>famously left wing American billion dollar corporations
>>18548987They are, that is what their cultural and social politics are and what they are willing to suffer a profit loss to promote. With the exception of zionism, is there any right-wing or pro-white cultural or social messaging a company is willing to lose money to promote? X.com and Elon Musk is not a valid example since that is just one very eccentric person
