Many years ago, strict Christian Puritans left Britain to go live in east America as pilgrims. The pilgrims got along well with the natives. And then later the other Brits got jealous and also went to America as colonists. The colonists started buying land from natives or fighting them for it. They began to accuse the natives of being savages. And then mainland Britain was low on money so they started taxing the 13 American colonies. The colonies decided to declare themselves as an independent nation from Britain, and they wrote an angry declaration of independence letter to Britain, accusing them of taxing American colonies without letting Americans vote in British votes, and accusing Britain of inciting violence in the "Indian savages" yes the declaration of independence really says this. And they called their new country the United States of America. On July 4, 1776, 250 years ago. And they fought Britain with help of France and won and today are friends to both countries. They decided each of the 13 colonies would be its own state with state laws, and universal federal laws for all 13 states. Today, federal and state laws contradict sometimes which I still do not understand.Originally slavery was legal and it was legal to own weapons equal to what the army owns. And only white men who owned land could vote. Then slavery was outlawed and the KKK formed in anger of this decision, then nonwhite men were given the right to vote and finally women were given the right to vote. And during WWII America teamed up with the Soviet Union to kill Hitler which inspired America to become even more antiracist. But then Soviet Union split into smaller countries like Russia and Ukraine and USA and Russia became rivals lol.
Your point, sir?
>>18554417There is no point I was trying to make. It was a brief history of America as this is the history board and America's 250th birthday is on Saturday, ma'am. Lol.
>>18554426This is a forum for discussion, if you bring nothing to discuss your post is low quality.Your post contains neither anything controversial nor anything people don't already know.
>>18554433Since when do you follow rules, your highness?Ha ha ha.Lol.
>>18554437You haven't posted anything against the rules, your thread is just boring. It would probably have just dropped off page 10 quietly if I hadn't asked you what point you were making.
>>18554440It is on topic. You are new to 4chan and do not understand our culture.Read some threads.Lol.
>>18554441I literally didn't say it wasn't, do you have problems with reading comprehension?
>>18554444I have problems with you following me around. Stop treating me like property. Lol.
>>18554413>that picI come from another new world country and this kind of 'discourse of delegitimation' exists here too. By that I mean, people who enter into good faith discussions on topics like immigration, indigenous rights, and so on, but they reject all authority because they see the country's existence as illegitimate. It's often a homegrown issue (Billie Eilish being American obviously) but it's the same kind of ideology that foreigners espouse when they justify the mass migration to and abuse of formerly colonial countries. At the risk of being a bit histrionic, I would say it's an implicitly genocidal stance. You're literally denying the existence of a nation and its ability to advocate for itself. The same arguments can be used to erode governmental authority on any issue until it ceases to exist.
>>18554452Ah, so you're just a paranoid schizophrenic. In that case well done for being able to form some semblance of a relevant thread, even if it has no ability to provoke discussion.
>>18554456>the same kind of ideology that foreigners espouse when they justify the mass migration to and abuse of formerly colonial countries.Interestingly when they say this they sort of tacitly admit that immigration is a bad thing they're being punished with. All other times immigration is supposedly a good thing but in this argument it becomes a stick Europe deserves to be beaten with for its past transgressions.
>>18554456It is more simple. If America is stolen land, she is saying it is ok to live on stolen land because she chooses to live in America when she is free to leave. Some land in America was bought rather than stolen but she specifically lives on stolen land too rather than moving to bought land in America. Finally, she is saying illegal immigration is ok because British Whites stole America. She is also British. But if America is stolen, why is it okay to invite even more people into the country without asking the natives? Doesn't illegal immigration make the problem worse by letting more outside people live on native american land? Lol.
>>18554465Yes that's a good point. It's such a bizarre mindset to even think about, especially when it's an immigrant person saying it. Imagine conceiving of yourself as some kind of divine pestilence.
>>18554456>>18554468There is one simple rule in life. People with lesser morals forcibly take control using strength, then they create the rules for others but not themselves and become greedy and then use their power to convince the people they are the good guy. That is the history of every country and world religion and celebrity. Lol.
>>18554487Everyone in here, this is the history of your country and culture and religion and artists and idols with no exceptions except for Jesus. Lol.
>>18554481>>18554487Present day western academia is interesting in that it paradoxically despises itself yet has a sense of superiority over everything else. You can see this on the discourse on LGBT rights globally. Apparently the only reason the third world have any negative connotations with homosexuality is because of Christian western values exported there in the 19th century, and if they'd never colonized the third world it would have been a bastion of LGBT rights. But equally, we today are still better than them because we like gays now but they still don't.The underlying attitude, superiority to the Africans, hasn't changed in any way, despite the supposed values associated with it doing a complete 180.
>>18554495Whites are the most self-hating race. Whites are a very divided race. Most atheists are Whites or Asians. Blacks usually love their own race according to surveys and Whites are most likely to hate their own race and culture which is why you have Whites like Billie who hate other whites and white religions and try to be rebels. Blacks do not do this, they are all Christianss Blacks date other Blacks more than any other race, and Blacks actually love their own race a lot more than Whites. Some Whites are White supremacists but you have people like Billie and Finneas who hate their own people and culture, something Blacks will never do. Billie is atheist because she thinks Christianity is White so she is atheist because she hates Trump and White culture. Blacks do not do this. Lol.
>>18554495It's the inconsistency at the heart of Eurocentrism. You're only Eurocentric if you regard the West as the locus of the world in a positive sense but if you invert it and treat the West as some kind of villain of history then it's totally fine.>>18554500I think most of the self-loathing is performative. Which isn't to say it can't produce real world effects. But the beginning of the performance goes back to the early 20th century where white countries were still 99% white, so you could afford to be stylishly self-loathing as it was largely inconsequential outside the matter of retaining or giving up colonies. Now that white countries are rapidly diversifying, suddenly that self-loathing implies - explicitly - political disenfranchisement and a loss of opportunities. I imagine if they did those surveys again, you'd see more in-group preference because there's now an actual need for it.
>>18554506Most countries are stolen too.Palestine is the best example. It has been lived on by over 15 different societies. Lol.
>>18554413A third of the Puritans who settled between 1620 and 1640 in the 'Great Migration' returned to England after Cromwell's victory in the Civil War.
