>Yes Africa is actually a seperate continent from Eurasia despite being connected by land. Why? Because the connecting landmass is too small because it just is okay chud.
>>
It's all the Old World to me
>>
>>18555490
But is not connected anymore
>>
>>18555509
Britain isnt connected to europe either neither is sicily
>>
>>18555519
The plates are. Europe is on the other side of the Atlantic fault. Scotland and Appalachia are worlds apart and its the same rock formations.
>>
>>18555528
Sicily is literally in the african-continetal plate and the african continental plate extends past the suez canal aswell
>>
do you think there is only one ocean?
>>
>>18555543
Yes all of the worlds oceans are connected and are just one ocean in actuality.
>>
actually Africa is two continents badly glued at the Rift Valley
>>
>>18555692
All continents are badly glued together dumbass
>>
>>18555767
India is quite well glued, it wont drift away into the ocean
>>
>>18555490
The strip of land connecting it is too thin. Same goes for the Darien Gap in relation to North/South America.
>inb4 what about Europe then
I consider Eurasia to be one continent, and yes, "Eurasia" because Europeans (Greeks) came up with the concept of a continent to begin with.
>>
>>18555490
Because the truth is continents are social constructs like countries.
>>
>>18556231
>I will make up a definition of what a continent is and switch up when it doesn't fit my interests
>>
>>18556261
I just use the common name we already have for Eurasia.
