What happens to kings and princes once the monarchy is overthrown? Do they even have enough skills to get a job as private citizens?
Most of the time they just fucked off to another country that still had a monarchy and chilled out there. I believe China let their last Emperor be a "citizen" and walk around cleaning shit but beyond that it's either>go into exile permanently >hang around until you either get executed or exiled against your will
>>18555958The former German royal house of Greece are now (((London financiers))).
>>18555963lol why would Britain pay the former Spain's royal family bills? why do they care? they'll need a job too no?
>>18555958The last Tsar of Bulgaria came back and became Prime Minister for a bit
>>18555969do kings have enough skills to become prime ministers? I thought they just ate all day and were fat all their lives, how do they even win an election?
>>18555968Anon, Britain's royal family has been a German family for centuries. At another time they were French. They shelter one another because they are monarchs and they want monarchy to survive. Most countries don't have royal families that are native to the country they're in charge of.
>>18555958>Do they even have enough skills to get a job as private citizens? No. I don't know if you've ever watched one of those "direct descendant of king daily life" reports, but those people are unbelievably degenerate. They have no skills and no hobby. They just sit on their asses and read gossip magazines all day while getting waited on by unattractive maids as they slowly bleed out money because the only thing they fear more than going broke is selling those decrepit castles they sit on.
>>18555958>What happens to kings and princes once the monarchy is overthrown?they steal everything that isn't nailed down, flee to another country, invest the money they escaped with, then live as socialites
>>18555974tbf he was Tsar as a child and only for a few years. When he came back to be Prime Minister he was in his 60s, so he had plenty of experience not being a monarch.
>>18555985you can't invest stolen money.
