My favorite queer theory is that Matthew Shepard was this college dropout who got addicted to meth, caught hiv, then went around escorting raw without disclosing. He knew his two killers long before the attack, and the attack was over meth, it wasn’t a random act of violence or homophobic. If anything one of the guilty might be partially justified because he got head from dirty, diseased Matthew without Matthew telling him how nasty his shit was. That’s the queer theory, at least.
