>>18583976I’m not here to disprove you. I agree. I was reading through all of this and really agreeing with the Word, but then I started focusing on all the science curses from what i would call the works of the flesh. Which I say Jesus lifts curses. If two children promised to marry each other, and they grow up and the woman was unfaithful to her promise, and he waited at the altar, praying, and being faithful, even in faith not knowing what his wife was doing, and then they married and have children and only after coming back together praying and asking for Jesus Christ’s blood, and the men she was with all had children that died, but her womb was desecrated, then the Bible is still clear that love always triumphs in a case like this despite all of the cursed “proof” science says. Because a good woman can repent and still have the transformative change of her savior over her soul and that is what transforms the body and the mind to give her husband the son that is like him, by truly knowing her husband. A good woman is good to her husband all of the days of her life. That’s out of proverbs. But it’s also by grace through faith so even if sin enters into the body, it can still be salvaged by God “who can do anything”. Otherwise we worship a God who can’t do anything and so the whole Bible was a lie. If I am being “shitty” against God for saying that a boy who waited his entire life (so far) to marry his wife, because “boo-hoo! I am an all powerful God that can’t do it…” then God doesn’t truly care about mercy like he promised he does. He said he is a merciful God and he would reward people for having waited and that he doesn’t repent from gifts He gave from Heaven, or for callings He gave from Heaven to someone. A childhood promise to marry like in the Bible movie in 1966 is a precious thing especially if ANY of the one child’s held onto it in their heart. Out of love and promise. God even commanded in genesis 1:29 kjv to eat
From the tree fruit which contains and yields a seed of another tree in it. I have a peach tree or sometimes I buy peaches and the pit is sometimes open. Sometimes not. Most the time the pit opens up when birds eat a hole through the sunny side of the peach and the pit opens there. Unlike a nut, which stays hard to protect the seed from outside, not yielding the seed but trying to protect the seed. Like a woman saying no I won’t marry you. Where’s the fruit God told Man to eat from in the beginning was like a woman saying yes I will marry you, beg like a sweet lamb and serving. Which reveals the Jesus Christ-like inner spirit God wants back inside the woman, contrasted by the Nutlike, goat like horned woman who won’t marry you.But then Jesus Christ also means cleanse from sin, which we then see that any sinner, any woman, any goat can ask him into their heart and be transformed back from sin. The works of the flesh may be evident, but in heaven the saved soul and new body won’t have it.
Since marriage is done legally these days by people who are careless, like the US elections are hacked by china and the democrats don’t care, it basically becomes up to God to pay people back legally. Which means in faith we just hope in God to play judge of this world and the eternal life after that. For your sake I just thank you for agreeing with me that we don’t need the law to “get” people for remarrying unfaithfully in America. However I do wish that people recognized justice more and were more moral a people like the founding fathers said. We can’t remain free without being that.
>>18583976>Matthew 19:3-9>> And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, "Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?" <4> He answered, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, <5> and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? <6> So they are no longer two but one flesh. So what he is saying here, and he also repeats when he talks about the speck, is that what God has united man shouldn't separate. So, if God gave you an other half... why should you eventually psrt ways with them? Shouldn't the will of God lead you to trying to improve your relationship with your other half? Yet man rejects this and demanded Moses gave him divorce, a letter with which he could discard a wife. It goes deeper but that gives you a rope you can climb. I don't care about your paul quotes because he says things that are completely opposite to what Jesus said... he tells Christians that man is head of woman but gospel of thomas jesus and genesis says that they are ONE unit. No unequal yoke.
I also wanted to note that there is a song for Christmas called “I’ll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams…”Which is about the Christlike way of living for God as if you have Him already. And are going to Heaven, so, living and being thankful and being happy like we already have our dreams and are going to our dreams world with God.This means also the little boy believing he is already married to the girl who promised to marry him. And living that way even if she has a restraining order or divorce on her husband. It means getting peaceful in your own home and living like she is with you even when she is not and unfaithful as sin… which is the hard part. But God is near to the broken hearted. He sustains the weak and gives life to go on. In truth he is doing better than the woman. And a woman’s conscience and heart will not find peace if she has lied. Or turned to legalism as her answer.
>>18584012“Man is equally yoked. Paul said man is the head of the woman. That’s opposite of what Jesus said!”Paul said what the man does to the woman in marriage, it becomes equally yoked when she can do it back to him. That was talking about inside the marriage bed during the time of procreating, but he is right in saying that the man is head of the woman, because God is head of the man, and in our relationship as things go back and forth in giving and receiving, (give and take), the man of God then gets to be head of God on the other end. Just like the wife gets to enjoy conquering the man in an equally yoked marriage. But the fact still remains that Paul is right. And Jesus Christ’s words don’t conflict with what he said. Also I don’t read apocrypha.
>>18584026You just said a whole load of bullshit so you don't read anything
>>18583998Your point about two kids promising to marry each other but the woman grows apart and comes back to him at the altar after "finding herself" reminds me of a scenario. Who would you marry?> A woman who waited till marriage and her abusive husband divorced her> A woman who had fun and ended up with a couple kids from different partners and never marriedThe former is the obvious choice but somehow God keeps sending us back to the recurring theme of the "The last shall be first and the first shall be last". In other words, only the latter is permissible.https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/a-statement-on-divorce-and-remarriage-in-the-life-of-bethlehem-baptist-churchAnd this article also claims that Greek and Latin Christians writers, save for one, of the first 5 centuries of Christianity condemned divorce remarriage. >>18584012>I don't care about your paul quotes because he says things that are completely opposite to what Jesus said... he tells Christians that man is head of woman but gospel of thomas jesus and genesis says that they are ONE unit. No unequal yoke.there has to be some hierarchy for the family in terms of authority. Someone has to have the final say for disputes. But yes the husband and wife is one unit, so there are no conflicts.>>18584006According to Rupert Lowe, there are parallel Sharia courts in England for the Muslims. We need our own counterpart courts for churches for Christianity in the US. Just because the law permits you to do no fault divorce, doesn't mean we should tolerate it. Christians are the salt of the Earth. How else are we supposed to preserve Christ's kingdom if we don't police ourselves?>>18584000I don't understand. Nice trips tho>>18584015The boy believing he already married the girl and she recants her promise, if they weren't betrothed, it really doesn't mean anything my dude.
>>18584058>there has to be some hierarchy for the family in terms of authority.LolYou are the brother of jesus And he was put as chief and judge, not you.
>>18584058.The former is the obvious choice but somehow God keeps sending us back to the recurring theme of the "The last shall be first and the first shall be last". In other words, only the latter is permissible.”Boy, you said it.“We need our own counterpart courts for churches for Christianity in the US.”In faith yes. In law, I just can’t see it working in this first life.“I don’t understand”“The boy believing he already married the girl and she recants her promise, if they weren't betrothed, it really doesn't mean anything my dude.”If the boy has already received her as his wife, from her promise, then yes it does. Even if she recants her promise. See prophet Hosea. God likens the marriage promise to the same standard as our marriage with God. If you ever accepted Jesus Christ as savior by your mouth confession, it’s already done in the heart.Agreed with everything you were saying until you said that the girl can run free because her promise was recanted.Yes, she can run free but God still has to legally repay. Especially since the other person is holding on to the promise in love. And as long as one person does, even God, things are still legally in effect, even if the government or the church doesn’t acknowledge! In this case, it depends what God decides to do with what He gave. (God doesn’t repent of gifts and callings He gave from Heaven)>>18584055I read what you said and paraphrased what I assume you said because it was more of a lie to assume apocrypha and that Paul’s writings were blasphemy, than what I said.Lastly, I am the boy across the street from the girl who still hasn’t married me for 35+ years now. I see her every day, and there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I didn’t want to marry or love her. From the very moment I wanted to marry her at six years old. The only reason she hasn’t is because her mom is Roman Catholic. They are like you, they don’t regard the Word of the KJV Bible as God.
Ok one more…I see two views going on in the thread….The legal marriage…And the spiritual marriage that already exists in the heart instantly when two (a man and a woman, or a boy and a girl who grow into a man and a woman), confess their love to each other. One is invisible and spiritual and is in God’s hands.God said he fulfills the desires of the heart.See Matthew 21:22 kjv, see the parallel verse found in Mark also.He is the one who fulfills our promises, and faithfulness. Then there is the legal marriage license which is like a name tag you wear or have in your wallet. One is for the government and church, the other one is in the heart , written invisibly and God can edit both, but the government / church can only edit one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duLKCOmxbJsI shall not Want - ElevationIs there something too hard for God? According to His Word, not even a woman struggling with legalism and ritual imposed by her mom should get in the way of her marriage promise.
You're mostly right.Except that Jesus does explicitly say that, according to him, divorce is permitted only in cases of sexual infidelity.
>>18584080>Lastly, I am the boy across the street from the girl who still hasn’t married me for 35+ years now. I see her every day, and there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I didn’t want to marry or love her. From the very moment I wanted to marry her at six years old. The only reason she hasn’t is because her mom is Roman Catholic. They are like you, they don’t regard the Word of the KJV Bible as God.There are men who long to own th world their whole lives... is God making them wait or are they not gonna receive it from him because that's not his will? That's like a father giving his son a snake when he asked for fish. Its pretty clear you have no idea how things work... let me know in 20 years if your plans were better than what god had in store for you.
>>18584080>If the boy has already received her as his wife, from her promise, then yes it does. Even if she recants her promise. See prophet Hosea. God likens the marriage promise to the same standard as our marriage with God. If you ever accepted Jesus Christ as savior by your mouth confession, it’s already done in the heart.fair enough, I'll look into the Book of Hosea>In faith yes. In law, I just can’t see it working in this first life.We have to. How else are we going to settle disputes for a marriage where you can't divorce? Obviously, this doesn't mean ignore the cops or our current legal system, but our churches need to cover for what our legal system doesn't. In this case, it needs to fight to ensure the stability of marriages no matter what, even in the face of someone running to the courts for divorce papers. We currently don't do anything.>>18584087Then the church needs to make it explicit what marriage is about and explain to remarried couples what their marriage looks like in the eyes of the Lord. At the end of the day, they're sleeping together and it's considered adultery in God's eyes. Of course this distinction also helps in the case of someone who marries someone who hid they were previously married. Then that marriage is invalid and the one who was a first time spouse gets to remarry.
>>18584113Not infidelity. Jesus is abundantly clear what he means. For Matthew 19:3-9, in the King James version it's "fornication". In the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition, it's unchastity and this is specific to infidelity during the betrothal phase. And think of it logically, imagine two scenarios:> Larry and Penny are married. It is a day that ends in "y" so Larry decides to get drunk and use Penny as a punching bag> Gary and Paige have a loving family of 3 and Gary is a fantastic husband. But Paige hasn't been "feeling it" and decides to have her own bedroom and will "open the door" when she's ready for some fun time. Gary respects her space and sleeps on the couch. It's been 3 years, she never has the door open to "call him". Gary is desperate after longing to be intimate with his wife. but he attends a business trip and the cute new receptionist is giving him the eye...That makes no sense that the first is not grounds for divorce but the second is. God is more logical than that.
>>18584161Owning the whole world (owning everyone else’s sovereign countries, etc) is not a noble endeavor. You likened it to a wife who promised to marry you. In my case, twice, 33 years later apart.“You have no idea how things work…. Let me know in 20 years”Get thee hence, Satan.
>>18585131No one cares, not even your mother. Keep on spamming some internet image board
>>18584366While you are at it, look up prophetess Anna also. God rewarded her because of her faithfulness to a dead husband in her youth.Did she have to wait to be reunited with him in heaven for the rest of her life, living like 70+ years as a widow? No. The legalism of the times says she is free to remarry now that her husband is dead. But she loved her dead husband. She was his husband of her youth. She had no children from him either. The love was invisible. No nation or church recognized her as married. But God recognized she was. So she immediately recognized Jesus Christ when she saw baby Jesus, knowing he is the messiah / savior.Which is how faithful God expects us all to be to our one man to one woman Christian marriage.“We have to”No, I’m glad I don’t have to, because Jesus Christ already fulfilled it in faith. That’s what I mean by faith. Not by law.“ Then the church needs to make it explicit what marriage is about and explain to remarried couples what their marriage looks like in the eyes of the Lord. At the end of the day, they're sleeping together and it's considered adultery in God's eyes. Of course this distinction…”In a super strict Adam and Eve like marriage council it would be considered adultery, yes. It’s just how the loose laws are. People are legally allowed to remarry and divorce and move on (refunds, when there should be no refunds on a husband and a wife). If a marriage is invalid then people are spending time in that invalid marriage and so Jesus is the one working on their hearts while they go through that in this first life when they already had a spouse. We don’t force it by law because of love and free will. If a woman promises to marry you, you don’t force her to marry you because of her promise, but because of her promise and you love her, you wait and pray for her and let Jesus work on her heart.
*He was her husband of her youth
>>18585137No, just not you.As I said, my views are traditionally to accept the KJV Bible , no apocrypha, meaning I believe Paul’s writings but not apocrypha. So that pertains to between me and God, and people who cares for the traditional narrow path to Heaven. My mother does absolutely love me and care, I don’t know what your impolite problem is, but I’ll tell you this, go on believing what you believe, buddy. God bless. But no, I don’t see the things I said as wrong in response. I am merely pointing out the traditional truth of the spiritual truths of the KJV Bible to you. The world is the ones who choose to go the carnal route and think they got everything under their control.
