Any tips on how to worship Lord Krishna? I've decided to become a Hindu. I want to worship Lord Krishna and the supreme God Vishnu.

>Crypto-Christian
Vaishnavism implicitly denies the law of karma and centers mindless devotion to a persona instead of focusing on Puṇyic actions. Living an ethical life while doing efficacious rituals is much better. I recommend reading the Pūrva Mīmāṁsā Sūtras and Dharmaśāstras for a proper religious life.

I thought the main point of hinduism regarding what type you're believing in is dharma

Chant hare krishna, play the flute, dance around, don't eat onions.

Worship Shiva instead, the chillest god. He doesn't expect a damn thing from you.

Dharma is equivalent to the idea of natural law. People, animals and objects have a role they must follow due to their nature. Not following those roles leads to karmic consequences. The problem with devotional religions is that they act like if you worship a persona you can negate karma. The Vaishnava traditions are famous for believing that bhakti can outweigh karmic consequences. Which is wrong. Every action has a reaction and you must pay every debt. Not believing so is fundamentally Asuric and what makes it crypto-Christian. You must understand that following the proscribed rituals and engaging in Puṇyic ethical actions is what matters.

ISKCON is a mental illness and not real Hinduism. White people like it because it's Christianity with blue Jesus and northern Indians like it because they are 5th world apes with 30 IQ.
Please choose something normal like Vaishnavism, Shaivism, Ganesha monolatry, Ganapatya, or just normal pluralistic Hindu belief. Visit the temple and ask the priest for resources on learning the hymns they recite on special occassions. But really Hinduism doesn't require organized worship like Christianity does. It is a recognition of the truth of the world, Gods appreciate our sacrifices to them because it shows that we acknowledge their superiority to us but they don't need us to slavishly worship them to go about their lives normally.

Gaudiya Vaishnavism does reek strongly of making an ethnic church to combat Europeans á la Japanese State Shinto, but Vishishtadvaita Vaishnavas come the closest of the bunch to being rational people imo. You don't have to declare a school of thought to be a Hindu anyways, in modern India even Shaivite families visit Vaishnava holy sites like Tirupati and Vaishnavite families visit the Char Dham
This isn't 800 CE, people moved on

I would honestly recommend starting with the Bhagavad Gita, the larger Mahabharata, and the Ramayana. Hinduism is deeply tied to the physical and moral geography of the subcontinent. I would then read the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda before moving onto the Upanishads. His work is much more recent, easily accessible in English, and does a solid job of explaining a modern Hindu approach to all these ancient texts.

Lol?

Baghata is about krishna telling arjuna that he has to intercede in this world (which he doesnt want to). You've never read shit, shut the fuck up.

He tells him to devote his life to him so that his actions would be properly guided, this is why its considered proto christianism and there's a lot of parallels in the words krishna uses.

Youre ignorant as fuck boi

>Those who perform all their duties for My sake, who depend upon Me and are devoted to Me, who are free from attachment, and are without malice toward all beings, such devotees certainly come to Me.

Doesn't Sri Vaishnavism believe in grace alone similar to Christianity?
>>
>>18587835
Partially. There are two sub-schools of Śrī Vaiṣṇavism, Vadakalai and Tenkalai. Vadakalai believes that you must work with the divine via works to attain liberation (similar to Christian synergism); while Tenkalai believes that liberation is a gift from god similar to Christian monergism).

Bhakti. Pray asking for God to increase your love for him and to increase your bhakti. Remember him as often as you can throughout the day.

intresting how many religions try to make Jesus their own.
>>
>>18586679
Krishna (Christ) is the avatar (incarnation) of Brahman (the Abrahamic God).
>>
>>18588770
>Many Hindus think Jesus is an avatar of Vishnu.
Do they? I know that some do believe Jesus to be a dharma master (not an avatar, that's Krishna and a rarity) whose teaching were corrupted by Abrahamics just like they believe Buddha's Hindu teachings were corrupted by Ahsoka.

Sure, a bunch of neckbeards in their parents basements damaged Hinduism and made them look like a bunch of filthy turd eating animals. It wasn't hindus acting like apes, eating and bathing in cow shit.
