Many erotic or sexual fantasies share a characteristic, that the sexual act involves the trangressing of some moral, social or legal boundary, e.g incest, adultery, rape etc.I believe this is because the imaginary scenario involves the sexual desire of one or more of the participants being raised to a degree sufficient to cause them to ignore the boundary. This brings our imagined characters close to our own state of arousal, and raises or own excitement to match what we imagine them to have.None, or very few, imagine circumstances devoid of sexual passion or other emotions, as it would not be in harmony with their own feelings, or those they wish to arouse.
