An HBO Rome style drama about the 410 sack of the city centered around Stilicho, Alaric, and Honorius would be kino. It’s what I’d make if I was a director. >>18603151I would choose the 30 Years War. Possibly a story inspired by Peter Hagendorf of whom we have an existing diary. Hagendorf had quite the career and fought in Switzerland, northern Italy and eventually back in Germany. There he took part in the Siege and Sack of Magdeburg where he was severely wounded. From that point onward he functioned as a clerk and sometimes even a military judge. For a movie those parts are probably boring but the diary gives a good insight into the everyday life of a soldier - even if he was a privleged one.
