I was watching a third positionist podcast and one of the things they very briefly mentioned was that NATO hated Yugoslavia and had to kill it because it showed that a system unaligned with both state-planned top down communism and western free market capital could exist, survive, and flourish.One of the things they said was that Yugoslavia wasn't some backwards shithole, their economy functioned in such a capacity that they were able to afford luxury products of the day like cassette players and other things that weren't available to the Eastern block.It seemed like bullshit, and the speed of which they glossed over it seems to imply to me that they really didn't have a fleshed out argument in support of it, they were just inventing random schizo theories to align with their world view, it seemed intriguing enough to make a thread about though and ask if anyone knows anything about this or has any opinions on the matter.

This got macroeconomically way too out of whack and then interest rates spiked in the 1980s and they went bankrupt.
