>>18603700The point of Jesus not having an Earthly father is because of his divine claim that he is the son of the creator of the universe. Mary is to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit as an unblemished Ark of the New Covenant, the human equivalent to the Ark containing the 10 commandments. This is also why you have so many doctrines of Mary being sinless and bunch of the stuff. So to say Mary was impregnated by a human like her actual husband, Joseph, would to mean Jesus is just a human. To say she was sleeping with behind Joseph's back would make Jesus not only human but some bastard born to an adulteress.
