The Book of Tobit is so weird. It’s like an expunged story from the Arabian Nights. Tobias journeys to Iran where a woman it is said kills whoever sleeps with her. He marries her and sleeps with her but enchants the demon guarding her so that he goes to Egypt where an angel takes him captive. Next Tobias and his wife return home and use magical potions to cure his father’s blindness.

>>18603797Yeah the entire thing is bizarre. I looked it up and apparently most prot churches don't include it probably because it seems more like a folklore story added in rather than the NT/ neoplatonist vibe most prots go for.
