They denied the vulgate and septugint because they were translated, instead trusting manuscripts that are copies of copies of copies over millennia but were technically not translated (Textus receptus) and straight up altered Judeo-bullshit for the newer rabbinical religion (Masoretic text). In modern times we found much older papyrus scraps of the New and old testament but still could have been altered from the originals so who even cares None of the text is 100% trustable anyway
