A great deal of discussion ostensibly regarding the truth or falsity of certain propositions is dominated by considerations that have norhing to do with truth or falsity, whether or not those considerations are themselves valid.
E.g Religion supposedly benefiting society as an argument for religion.
"Racism" causing hatred or violence as an argument against race- IQ arguments
Obsession with who is "blamed" by a certain interpretation, even though physical causation does not imply moral blame.
