Coatline. No single sub saharan African nation has access to both the East and West Coast of Africa, which limits its access to global markets. It's logistically more challenging dealing with a bunch of smaller markets than it is dealing with on monolithic one. India is still a shithole, but they at least have control over the Indian Ocean
