>It's never me when I succeed. It's always God. I can never do anything by myself and I am powerless unless someone helps me

What an utterly pathetic and cucked belief system. And they feel cool when they post this image.
>>
God alone determines if my hardwork works out. Man proposes, God disposes.
Praise be to God for it is proper to praise God.

I mean, luck isn't really you. its designed to be external anon.

unless you think you can control luck , then thats based and occult pilled.

>op prays to lady fortune
Cool story bro. Keep me posted on the rituals, theology, worldview, how to save the White Race etc.
>>
how exactly does god do things without violating free will. when someone prays for a promotion and gets it is that because god just took control of their boss for a few moments to give him a raise?

Your response, shitskin?

Provide a single speck of evidence that this shit is real
>>
>>18615675
Being part of something larger is usually pretty cool yeah.

>>18615730
He didn't take control of their boss. He created the conditions that allowed for a promotion. Specific things going wrong that the specific worker knew how to fix and gain the necessary street cred for a promotion, which is how office environments work at least.
Very few things in the world are up to human will in general.

retard
>>
>>18615675
In reality most theists are retarded, and so are most atheists.

Simply put, the first category does not understand that the latter has no emotional craving for the religious experience, spirituality or the transcendent. They care about this life and want to live it to the fullest.

The latter does not understand that not everyone is spiritually secular, that is, someone who has no desire for the orderly, transcendent, emotional, spiritual experience. They care about physical and emotional pleasure and reason in this life.

So there you go. Some humans have a desire for spirituality, others dont. Religion is valid, as is irreligion and secularism.

Judgment comes for everyone, objective morality is objective morality. There’s no second escape hatch.
>>
>>18616460
I appreciate that. Its an interesting perspective but im not inclined to believe in it until I have evidence of it.
>>
>>18616388
So what you're saying is there is a class of people (hylics) that have no souls and are made as mere chattel?
>>
>>18616465
Well the stakes are infinite so good luck with your super smart enlightenment skepticism.
>>
>>18616468
I think that all people have different spiritual needs and as such, religion or secularism cannot be universal projects. Something might work for you but it wont for other people.
>>
>>18616481
We are literally talking about the only invariant in any given person’s life. God is the most universal relevance conceivable.
>>
>>18616481
It's very bizarre for the blind to go around yelling at people with eyesight that they are delusional
Why are the secular so cocky when it is them that are in the deficit?
>>
>>18616494
When was the last time you went to church? I feel like internet theists are most of the time just larpers
>>
>>18616487
And I would like to believe in him. But I feel that humanity was abandoned by God long before we abandoned the idea of God. Why do children get cancer or get raped? I cannot count to the number of times my prayers for health or for the health and well being of other people went unanswered.

I feel a spiritual need to be religious, but im super disillusioned with religion after learning that the bible is a collection of sumerian, babylonian, greek and Persian myths, as long as canaanite deities. Also the fact that God commands genocide in the bible and it is self evident that it was a Jewish supremacist cult that christians tried to shoehorn into a universalist project for all of humanity.
>>
>>18616516
as well as canaanite deities.

If God is real, he never revealed himself to us and he is at best, indifferent to our suffering.

Im not an edgy atheist. I feel a real sense of grief over losing my faith.
>>

> Why do children get cancer or get raped?
Injustice manifest in this age
> the bible is a collection of sumerian, babylonian, greek and Persian myths, as long as canaanite deities
The Bible is one of the greatest evidences for God
Not because it has automatic authority, but because it’s so many authors who just HAPPENED to be completely aligned in a perfectly consistent geometry of divinity across times and places
Even Paul was perfectly aligned with Jesus’ message and he didn’t even meet the guy
>>
>>18616516
> it is self evident that it was a Jewish supremacist cult that christians tried to shoehorn into a universalist project
The Hebrew Bible never isolates the people as uniquely special or above, in fact it shows their inadequacy and need for a saviour
>>
>>18616523
Was the rapture not supposed to happen during the lifetime of the early christians?

I really would like to believe and idk what I will do. I dont enjoy going to church. I dont feel like i learn anything and sometimes I think i should still pray, but is it a good idea to pray to a God whose canonic literature asserts he commanded the israelites to kill canaanite children, civilian men and non virgin women?
>>
>>18616532
No, rapture is a modern innovation, and Jesus specifically said “this generation (age) will not pass away until all these things take place”
>>
>>18616532
> is it a good idea to pray to a God whose canonic literature asserts he commanded the israelites to kill canaanite children, civilian men and non virgin women?
Every massacre in history was caused by God, nature is scary in general and God made that too
What’s the problem if an evil tribe got judged according to ancient standards of war?

The OT is preparational, not the final reveal of who God actually is

The whole atheist vs spiritual debate is covered in the Bible in Genesis with the descendants of Cain versus the descendants of Seth
Those of Cain worship technology, music, culture and reject God while those of Seth revere God and keep His ways, always respecting the spiritual realm and rejecting worldly pleasures in favor of purity and peace
Don't believe me? Go look up the descendants of Cain versus Seth

Yahweh arbitrarily decided that Abel's sacrifice was better

Does god really overrule the laws of physics to break shit when nobody is looking so that some wagie can fix it and get a promotion?
>>
>>18616687
That guy is dumb. The answer is that God causes everything including the promotion or not. Simple.
>>
>>18616673
False
Abel gave the best of his lambs while Cain tried to pawn off leftovers as his sacrifice
Cain was rejected because he put himself above his God
>>
>>18616217
>Specific things going wrong
So when the computer breaks and they need to call the IT guy, God just came and broke the computer himself?
>>
>>18616755
>while Cain tried to pawn off leftovers as his sacrifice
It doesn't say this anywhere in the Bible, it just says he brought the fruit of the ground (plants). Abel's sacrifice was considered better because God wanted a blood sacrifice.

Sometimes you get to a really low point in your life where you realize that even though you've been continuously trying for years to be better and accomplish things yourself, everything still seems out of your control. All the things that you can't control seem to take over. Even in places where in theory you should have free will of action, the force of habit and routine and addiction makes you feel powerless to change yourself. You can't quit drinking or getting high even though it makes your life obviously worse. You want to lose weight but don't feel like you have the will power to put the cookie down. You're tired of gooning to Brazilian fart porn and want to stop but every time someone posts a picture of a hot girl on 4chan you start automatically going for the /gif/ tab and reaching down your pants. None of your relationships seem to work out towards the ideal you want for yourself. You think you did everything "right" in life but still hate your job and are unhappy.

The big "self help" influencer market makes a product to sell you out of messages that it's all about locking in, that you just have to wake up earlier, work harder, make more money, game more women, just "be a real man"

But there's actually huge power and benefit just in the belief that "I'm protected." That the onus isn't on me to be perfect, and that things will work out somehow anyway.

The world you live in isn't something external to yourself. It's created by your thoughts and beliefs. Two people in exactly the same circumstances but who look at them in different ways can live experiencing completely different worlds, just based on things like if they choose to focus on the good things that happen to them or obsess over the bad things.

Belief that something greater than yourself is looking out for you is actually an amazing "life hack" for "self improvement" if you're into that kind of thing. It's like a super power. It gives you an aura that actually protects you.
>>
>>18615675
Yeah, it is better to be grateful to yourself for doing something with none of which is of yourself

I'd rather praise God than finding things worth appreciating to be random events without any real purpose

And that pic is BASED

>Cain's sacrifice
Grow vegetables and fruits, an extremely hard and time consuming action without modern technology
>Yahweh's reaction
"Fuck off with that vegetarian shit, Cain"
>Abel's sacrifice
Gather a few lambs and some shit
>Yahweh's reaction
"That's what I'm talking about"

He could have had some nice salad and some fried meat, give his blessing to both, and that's it, but no, he had to dab on Cain's hard work. Even if Cain was responsible for his death, Abel was ultimately a victim of Yahweh's "mysterious ways"
>>
>>18618470
If Cain offered his first fruits it would have been accepted
There was no mystery; Cain was rejected because of his lack of reverence for God and holding back the best for himself
This is the pattern of the people of Cain to this very day
>>
>>18618475
>If Cain offered his first fruits it would have been accepted
It doesn't say that anywhere in the Bible. It's something Christians made up. All the Bible says is that he brought fruits of the soil
>>
>>18618530
Just because the books detailing the folly of Cain are not in the normie Bible does not mean they don't exist
In b4 "if it's not in the Bible it doesn't count"
Oh so you're saying there is no knowledge outside of the Bible? That would be absurd and anti atheist to proclaim
>>
>>18618537
>doesn't even say what book he's talking about
>>
>>18615675
There is a reason you haven't been shown the soul is real. I never believed, never sought the knowledge for power or money but why it was shown to me was from the love I gave. I mean how could you believe? It all seems so silly at first. So many lies and scams. It must just be another. One can only wonder what happens in this experience we have. When what we perceive as death happens and we leave this vestal for the next step in whatever this is.

>>18615675
>God fucked my girlfriend and made her cum, not me

>If Cain offered his first fruits
The people that came out with this don't know a thing about farming. An early season orange is going to taste lesser than a later season one. The "first fruit" thing in markets is sort of a scam for consumers who want to try the fruit as fast as possible, even if they won't taste as good as later ones.

Cain, as a farmer, must have known this. Yahweh just wanted some bloody meat.

duh
Its the reality in which we have access to this supernatural power thanks to the incarnation that should be astonishing.
