I think it goes too far if instead he focused on how language effects the ability to communicate ideas or memes between a group or across different groups you could use it to explain the worldview of a group.

>>18616552The only problem with this is that it's exaggerated. The knee jerk total rejection of the idea is just as wrong. Language does influence how people think. But it's subtle and major shortcomings are the sort of things that compel people to adapt their language.
