All despite the esotericism and symbolism behind the figure of Baphomet. The Knights Templar originally acted as protectors for pilgrims travelling to Jerusalem against Islamic raiders, so to think they'd either convert or just mistake their prophet for a Christian deity is just too far-fetched and retarded.
