We really are in the end times of civilization. Reading history makes me so depressed knowing the world was so much more vibrant, grant yet personal. Where people lived in fear of the shadow of the Mongols or listened to vikings speak of distant lands beyond the sea. Back when all people knew about Ancient Egypt was from drawings of the pyramids and ruins buried beneath the sands. When statesmen actually existed and great generals and politicians forged mighty empires.

We don't build monumental architecture anymore
We don't create new religions anymore
We don't outflank the enemy with cavalry anymore
We don't burst into rooms with telegram messages warning of imminent attacks anymore
What the fuck do we do?

Humanity is fundamentally dead and we deserve to be wiped out by climate change.

Maybe you do, but not me :)
I’m an artist and I make beautiful music. The world is just really big and not many people know about me.

Yeah yeah yeah, "it's over" etc. Go get a hobby you crybaby faggot.

Space
Space is where the monumental architecture is being built
Space is where we'll create new religions
space is where the next generation of wars of conquest will be
Space is where we'll have people bursting into rooms with telegram messages warning of imminent attacks because the vast distances involved will create communication bottlenecks again
We'll have moon bases within the next couple of decades, right now things are relatively quiet because we're at a historical crossroads

Anon....
The blackpill is that space travel at scale will never happen, or at least not before climate change wipes us out.

Except it's already happening? In any case, it's obvious you literally just made this thread to be a doomer, I really wish you retards were banned

But what he just said is true? I think you fail to realize how far apart the inner planets are from the outer ones

Even then, habitability is a serious issue too

Retard.

Retard.

We literally live in the most grandiose and monumental age of history, by far. We just don't have eyes for it, because we live in it and so can't romanticize it in the same way as the past. One modern global corporation is a greater feat of organization than the whole Roman Empire, and modern skyscrapers put to shame any "monumental architecture" of the past.

>We really are in the end times of civilization. Reading history makes me so depressed knowing the world was so much more vibrant, grant yet personal.

In other words people were more delusional back then and you'd like to crawl back into the womb.

So you'd prefer to live in darkness and delusion.

>We don't build monumental architecture anymore
>We don't create new religions anymore
>We don't outflank the enemy with cavalry anymore

You'd like to tie your life to some false external narrative serving some king or religion because you're so boring that you can't imagine having a good life on your own terms. How pathetic. Cuck.

>We don't burst into rooms with telegram messages warning of imminent attacks anymore
>What the fuck do we do?

Enjoy your own life.

>Humanity is fundamentally dead and we deserve to be wiped out by climate change.

Delusions are dead and you're clinging to the corpse

I don’t even want to know what kind of horrors AI and transhumanism will bring to humanity. The Industrial Revolution already fucked us up quite a bit, but the transhuman revolution may finally break us.

What a buck broken pussy. Grasping at corpses. What is Humanity? Not I. I am not Civilization. I am not History’s disappointed spectator. I am the Unique, and the world is my property to the extent I can make it so. If climate change or transhumanism comes, it will come as one more condition among others, neither punishment nor redemption. I will use what remains for me, or I will not. That is all.

History is told by the victors, no one has won when the battle is already going on. You don’t notice because you’re a peasant.
