The ultimate blackpill is that if God is omniscient that means he predestines people to do evil. This is undeniable and impossible to recover or cope your way out of.
>>
>>18617354
An omniscient and all-powerful God is fundamentally incompatible with free will. Apologists have attempted to reconcile with this fact but it just doesn't and will never work
>>
>>18617367
>An omniscient and all-powerful God is fundamentally incompatible with free will.
Yes. Once you realize this you can never go back. Ever.
>>
Yes. Read chapter 18 of book I of Institutes of the Christian Religion.
>>
>>18617354
is this what passes for intellectualism amongst skeptics these days?
not even worth an effortful response
enjoy hell
>>
>>18617411
I bet I will enjoy """"""hell"""""""
>>
>>18617367
Any embodied entity or physical being, no matter what created it, is fundamentally incompatible with free will because their will is necessarily determined by their body and/or physical properties rather than being free of limits.
>>
>>18617354
Great question. I believe that god is omnipresent meaning everything in existence is part of god so which part of god is evil?

I dont know why god chose this form but morality isnt an absolute law its a reaction to the life we live
>>
>>18617354
>The ultimate blackpill is that if God is omniscient that means he predestines people to do evil.
That doesn't follow. I can know that the Yankees will beat a high school team and I've done nothing to influence the outcome of the game. Try again?
>>
>>18617878
So your god can't even influence the outcome of reality and is impotent rather than omnipotent?
>>
>>18617883
>So your god can't even influence the outcome of reality and is impotent rather than omnipotent?
That's not what I said. Try reading?
>>
>>18617918
>Try reading?
Reading what?
>>18617878
>done nothing to influence the outcome
Doing nothing to influence is the opposite of omnipotent, it is impotence, by definition.
>>
>>18617926
>Doing nothing to influence is the opposite of omnipotent, it is impotence, by definition.
No, it's not. Try again?
>>
>>18617354
Any sensible god would do so, so as for his children to be able to enjoy, fend themselves off, not get taken advantage, etc
>>
>>18617929
Yes it is, I don't need to try again because I actually understand what omnipotence means such that it is about influencing everything which is the exact opposite of influencing nothing since everything and nothing are polar opposites.
>>
>>18617936
Great. Enjoy your worthless brain.
>>
>>18617942
Its good enough that I am well above your cute little kindergarten level of knowledge where you don't even understand that everything and nothing are polar opposites.
>>
>>18617878
The Bible doesn't just depict a God that -can- determine the outcomes of everything to happen, it depicts a God who does. Good and evil are sourced from God and whether or not He has chosen an individual to be one of His elect or whether He has chosen an individual to "make known the riches of His glory for the objects of mercy, which He has prepared beforehand for glory."
>>
>>18617946
>Its good enough that I am well above your cute little kindergarten level of knowledge where you don't even understand that everything and nothing are polar opposites.
It's really not.
>>
>>18617950
It is and there is nothing you can do about it, but impotently appeal to demons.
>>
>>18617959
Just curious, and I've never had a fedora answer honestly so you have a chance to be the first: What are you planning to say to God when you stand before the Great White Throne of Judgment? What "mic drop" do you have planned to get yourself out of eternal agony?
>>
>>18617963
I wouldn't say a single word to them. I would listen to what they have to say, and that's what no one did.
>>
>>18617971
Alright so you're not going to answer that.
>>
>>18617974
Holy shit this guy is dense
>>
>>18617974
Ok, but what are you planning to say to Gandolf when he asks you to carry the ring of power to a volcano?
>>
>>18617979
>Holy shit this guy is dense
Nope. I'm very smart.
>Ok, but what are you planning to say to Gandolf when he asks you to carry the ring of power to a volcano?
Nothing. That's never going to happen.
>>
>>18617981
>Nope. I'm very smart.
Yup, because that's what very smart people have to do. Constantly reassure themselves and everyone else that they're very smart.
>>
>>18617981
Alright so you're not going to answer that, just going to prove how dense you are with zero sense of irony.
>>
>>18617985
Huh? Which "school" did you go to?
>>18617986
I did.
>>
>>18617988
What, you didn't see all the genuinely intelligent people at your school having to constantly battle allegations of being retarded? Well maybe I need to rethink what such a situation implies then...
>>
>>18617988
No you didn't answer anything, you said nothing.
>>
>>18617992
So, you didn't go to Stanford?
>>
>>18617988
>Which "school" did you go to?
The one that had the big bus that always passed your short bus.

Lol. Lmao even.
>>
>>18617996
Do you even have a degree? xD
>>
>>18617354
Or, God just does not care about human.
But you too retarded for this talk.
>>
>>18618000
Then feel free to post a picture of yours if you think you are actually proving something by name dropping some mid dying relic of a university.
>>
>>18617354
For me the difference between classical theists and the irreligious (assuming the latter category was born in a Christian family) is not IQ. They are simply different psychological profiles. Classical theists enjoy religious rituals and religion is good for them psychologically, they may even rely on it, so they are not inclined to question it, whereas atheists dont really crave or benefit psychologically from the religious experience.

Although ofc its really hard to talk about religion, because there are heterodox Christians who dont believe in biblical inerrancy or the nicene creed, there are calvinists, in short there are all sorts of Christians and non believers. So it may not even be useful to generalize one group in any way.
>>
>>18618011
>dox yourself!
Non-responsive. Do you have a degree, yes or no?
>>
>which school did you go to?
>huh? I'm not gonna dox myself. Are you retarded?
>>
>>18618030
Harvard? MIT? Dartmouth? A state school at least? Do you even have a degree?
>>
>>18618031
It writes itself
>>
>>18618035
>My degree writes itself
So, you don't have a degree. I'm not surprised. You're dumb!
>>
>>18618037
Keep going Steven Anders tan. We'll keep you around as the Mongolian basket weaving circus monkey
>>
>>18618039
>We'll keep you around
You've got it backwards. This is MY board.
>>
>>18618037
So you can't actually figure out how to prove you have a degree despite being really smart, bring up degrees is just another impotent platitude to avoid dealing with the actual argument that you clearly lost?

>>18618050
So if you didn't lose the argument, did you prove that god was or wasn't evil and how did you prove it?
>>
>>18618054
Whivh school ddi u hgo to??
>>
>>18618041
Sure it is, little guy. Why don't you go make another thread about Stevie? It's funny when everyone on your board drives you into schizo tard rages there

I accept your concession that you lost the original argument so you have to change the subject to institutionalization even though you aren't even smart enough to figure out how to prove you have a degree yourself.
>>
>>18618065
I don't need to prove anything to you. Also, you didn't answer the question.
>>
>>18618067
I don't answer irrelevant distraction questions, you have already proven to me that you are just desperately trying to change the subject to authoritarian credentials after you lost the original argument despite not even being smart enough to prove you even have a degree yourself.
>>
>>18618077
>Adolf Hitler?
>More like Adolf Harvard.
>>
>>18617354
He also predestined all the evil to be turned into good. Praise the Lord fr fr.
>>
>>18617354
Evil people get no pity because they do evil.
>>
>>18618120
Then why didn't Jesus cast the stone at the evil lady?
Was it pity or because he himself was not without sin?
>>
>>18618132
That story was not in the original gospels. It was added later. You can tell it's a made up story because they didn't bring the man she cheated with who also deserves death.
>>
>>18618132
>Then why didn't Jesus cast the stone at the evil lady?
Because he didn't hold a government office.
>>
>>18618144
So the bible is just fake news with a bunch of stuff that doesn't belong?
>>18618154
So his reaction in that situation was "Let he who holds a government office cast the first stone"?
>>
>>18618162
>So his reaction in that situation was "Let he who holds a government office cast the first stone"?
No. Learn to read, or get off the internet. Preferably both.
>>
>>18618162
>So the bible is just fake news with a bunch of stuff that doesn't belong?
Idk I base my faith on the God of David. The original testament is perfect.
>>
>>18618174
The Bible calls the New Testament the Better Testament, founded on better promises.
>>
>>18618170
>Learn to read,
You wrote about government office holders, though, you need to learn to be coherent since the story didn't involve government office holders at all so there was no reason to mention them.
>>
>>18618198
Actually, I wrote that because it was a perfect answer to your question. That woman deserved to be put to death, but Jesus was a civilian. That's why he didn't cast a stone at her. Any questions?
>>
>>18618201
Then why did he explicitly say someone without sin as if he was empathizing with her and her transgressions instead of government office holder as if he was being an authoritarian cuck?
>>
>>18618207
Why should I explain it to you? You've clearly already decided that you hate Jesus. I think I'll just keep that to myself. Go ahead, throw your fit now. :D
>>
>>18618209
I accept your concession, you have no idea why you brought up government office holders and can't possibly justify it or how it is perfect when jesus clearluy said no such thing about government workers, but about a sinless individual.
>>
>>18618214
>I accept your concession
Hallucination.
>you have no idea why you brought up government office holders
Projection.
>and can't possibly justify it or how it is perfect
Retardation.
>>
>>18618220
Nope you conceded you can't actually explain things. I am not projecting anything, you brought up gov workers out of nowhere, but you can't justify why because of your retardation.

That "I HATE CHRIST" tumor is really flaring up, eh? xD It's 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, don't you have anything else you could be doing with your time?
>>
>>18617354
I'd point some things out regarding this

God is not bound by the linear passing of time. Certain choices and events in a person's life will lead to some outcomes, but they do not exclude the possibility of subsequent changes and interventions. This, if you do not believe in materialistic determinism, which kind of makes bringing God into discussion pointless from you.

God works towards the salvation of every person that has ever been and will ever be. Everyone is given a chance to redemption. If some people choose to do mean shit despite being given a chance for salvation, this is on them and has nothing to say about God not being omnipotent because it is their freedom they made use of.

Anyways you are going to believe what you choose to, but it is your failure when you give up on seeking the truth
>>
>>18617354
God does not predestine people to do evil for the sake of doing evil, and not as they are evil deeds, but only insofar as they are means to good ends.
Genesis 50:20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
