Why is the literal interpretation so important? Because God said by faith , not by sight. Because you can prove a literal interpretation to be false, and if you can, then the entire Word of God is damned, because God doesn’t really exist if you can. Genesis 6:4 kjv says the giants , the sons of God, mated with the daughters of God / men. This interpretation I already explained what it actually means, so did you not read it? Basically angel humans on earth wouldn’t need a savior so this gives no reason to look to Jesus for your savior. There is already legions of saviors to choose from from the other sons of God. That is a complete inversion of the truth, it was in fact the existence of a part of God in the flesh, the Spirit, which necessitated the intervention of the Son so that all which is of God could be reunited with God in Christ, thus redeeming the fall.
