If you lived as a slave in the past or live in a third world country with no resources and lack advanced technology, then you could put forth a convincing case that reality has a metaphysically evil intent. But this becomes a delusion if you live in a 1st world country where pre-packaged frigerated food can be outright delivered to your doorstep, you can talk to anyone on the planet through the convenience of your bedroom, have access to on demand air-conditioning & heating along with electricity, and learn anything about everything in existence through the internet with the click of a few buttons. At this point, both ignorance & suffering are choices where you have to actively & intentionally go out of your way to bring either.
