Most ancient societies genuinely believed the universe was an infinite literal ocean that has no boundaries and humanity was living in a literal glass dome built by god or the gods. These guesses are all based on the limited knowledge of humans back then and proof that religions are man-made.The Bible says multiple times that the waters existed before God created anything. >And the Spirit of God floated above the watersAnd God literally builds an air dome to separate the water below from the water above.This is based on an outdated observation that most socieites made. Because at the edge of the land was always water, and since Earth is mostly water it appeared like the water went on forever. And since oceans are deep it appeared they went on down forever too.Islam also has outdated opinions, claiming the sky has layers like a dome, and allah literally floats on a throne on the water that is above the seventh layer. Islam also claims the sky has no cracks but it will eventually crack open, and the sun and stars and moon are lamps or missiles on the closest of the layers.The Qur'an also claims that rain appears to come from clouds, this was intentionally worded in case it was wrong that way future apologists can note the arabic only says APPEARS to come from clouds, the book never says rain comes from clouds, only it appears to. This was added for future apologists in case it was wrong.Every ancient religion believes in the infinite waters even the mayans. It is just basic observations of ignorant ppls.Lol.
