What can be done about the rise of AI slop history videos on Youtube?

Pic related is "Fishy Frank"
Not only does he use AI for his thumbnails, all the art, and seemingly for the voice over- but he seems to be letting AI write the scripts for him too.
In his video "8 Prehistoric Skeletons Found With Injuries No Known Animal Could Cause" the very first example he refers to as "perfect hole skull"

I'm no anthropologist, but as he describes a 300,000 year old skull with a perfectly round hole in it, it sounds pretty obvious to me that it's an example of trepanning, and yet he's describing it as if the hole must have killed the hominid and implying that something must have gone through the both sides of the skull to cause it.

The specimen he's referring to is Kabwe 1 or Rhodesian man. I go to the wikipedia page for the specimen, and there is no mention of any hole. You can see on one photo that there is damage but it's nothing like the perfectly circular hole described in the video. The video also said it was on the temporal bone, and the only mention of the temporal bone on Wikipedia is lesions caused by tooth decay.

It's total slop and misinformation. How can historians combat this kind of bullshit?

Dont watch it
>ugh this thing i consume is all i see in my feed designed to show me things i tend to consume! If only there was a way to prevent this!
>>
>>18624931
Oh yeah ME not watching it is a solution to tens of thousands of people watching it and believing it because they don't know any better, right?
>>
>>18624935
It's always been like this. Captivating History was the slop before slop for example.

Dont watch it when when a rube tries to bring it up laugh at them. Dont argue with them. Dont concern yourself with the opinions on history of idiots. They can watch ancient apocalypse all they want

Nothing

>Dont concern yourself with the opinions on history of idiots
What the fuck do you think happens when you live in a country of idiots because you never bothered to challenge them on what is true and what isn't?
>>
It's time to leave it all behind and move on. It's a shame you can't save the others, but we knew this would happen for a while now.

Those "others" get to vote anon. Where the fuck am I "moving on" to? Mars?

Don't click on them and they wont be recommended to you. I swear I've seen more bitching about these channels than I've ever encountered in the wild.

THE PROBLEM IS NOT THAT I DONT WANT TO SEE THEM

THE PROBLEM IS THAT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE RECEIVING AND BELIEVING MISINFORMATION

>What is Ancient Aliens?
>>
>>18627396
Yes, Ancient Aliens has been a disaster for public understanding of history and trust in academia. What is your point?

And at least the involvement of aliens made it outlandish enough that some people wouldn't fall for it.
Just completely wrongly identifying a real archaeological specimen and its features is going to slip by most people. Hell, I wouldn't even have looked it up if I didn't feel pretty sure I knew what actually caused the supposed hole in the skull
>>
Brainrotted kids and 'jeets still click on them and give them millions of views. It is the same with websites. There are seemingly a million sites with AIslop along the lines of "[Your search term] and why it matters. Here is what to know."

We may have to go back to the olden days of internet where you had directories which link you to trusted sites or other directories.
>>
Accept that history will be written over again to fit current narratives.

Honestly wouldn't mind that. Too many dodgy sites out there on the clear web these days even without AI. FUcking archive dot moe the site a lot of people use to archive 4chan, has malware popups

I use Brave browser, still wouldn't make me feel safe accessing such sites
