Plus there's the earthquakes that supposedly were happening at the time in the region, but as we can see from modern earthquakes, just because there's a lot of shaking doesn't translate to a lot of damage. Location matters a lot for earthquakes to really cause damage. Honestly, just the prolonged drought and famines would be enough. We have plenty of historical and archaeological evidence in other places and eras of famine and drought ending entire civilizations.
