Why is there so much focus on concentration camps or the Gulag. Why does nobody talk about American Death Camps?

because while being a massive violation of civil liberties, they were extremely tame compared to the previously mentioned camps, those who went their (rightfully) complained but also never really stated they were the same time for the most part
