I know it's likely not a good idea to ask here but i feel like i've been seeing the writing on the wall that we might be in the end times but i never been religious and i don't know what church i should go too. I know it's likely not protestant but i'm still stuck and honestly unsure and nervous about making huge changes in my life. I honestly don't doubt that i'm going to hell even if i do find the right place.

Firstly and most importantly you should pray earnestly and continually for God to guide you to where He wants you to go with the Holy Spirit and have faith that events will unfold and lead you as He wishes, even if you don't understand it.

Then you should look into different churches and see which ones have actually kept the doctrines established laid out in the New Testament/gospels themselves; any church that rejects that Jesus is the Son of God you can automatically rule out, any church that rejects that Jesus is God you can rule out, any church that does not baptize in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit you can rule out, any church that has changed or added anything to the Bible and/or changed or retconned any of the original teachings and beliefs of the apostles you can rule out, any church that claims you can gain salvation through other means than Jesus you can rule out, any church that claims there were new revealed truths after Jesus and/or follows other men or their teachings you can rule out, any church that cannot be traced back to the apostles in any way you can rule out.
Then you should look into early church history regarding what the early church was like, the early church fathers and the ecumenical councils etc.

This will likely leave you in the position of either trying to choose between the Catholic or Orthodox church or thinking that there is no actual 'true' narrowly defined church/denomination on Earth in modern times but rather that it is invisible and personal and defined by the Holy Spirit alone and therefore leaning towards some protestant group like Anglican/Episcopalian or Pentecostal or Lutheran etc or attending whatever your nearest local church is.
Currently I'm still struggling between the Orthodox and Catholic church and heavily leaning towards the Catholic church as the true church however there's almost too many problems and recent developments that make it questionable. In truth, I'm still seeking.

>church or thinking that there is no actual 'true' narrowly defined church/denomination on Earth
Honestly i've been thinking this as well every argument ive seen on either side has either been on somewhat vague historical records or philosophical logical arguments but the issue is that it becomes essentially what sounds more true rather anything that truly feels concrete. Catholism has more people but i feel like you can make an argument that the true church isnt going be loved by the world. I won't blame God if he sends me to hell but i hope he has mercy on me

Just read the book and believe it, bow down everyday with your face on the grown in reverence to the Holy One and bless him. Then put all your efforts into obeying the commandments and instructions that are written in the book.

God will aid you after that and lead you in the correct path.

>I know it's likely not protestant
Out of curiosity, what leads you to say that?

Assuming you're not the kjv anon but it's mostly history but also it seems like a christian themed secular lifestyle in certain sects and even in almost every non-denominational sect.

>it seems like a christian themed secular lifestyle
Could you elaborate? Based on every metric of which I'm aware, Evangelicals are significantly more different from secularized Atheists/Agnostics/Nones than Catholics are
>>
>>18631733
Mostly non-denominationals and sects fairly seperae from the lutherans and other sects close to that time
>>
>>18631736
What are your thoughts on Evangelicals?
>>
>>18631738
Most evangelicals seem fairly seperate even more so than most protestant sects of back in the reformation and even more removed than a lot of what christianity seemed to supposed to be like. Stuff like the christianity like donald trump follows seems wrong. I dont know everything about every sect but anything after luther seems to be questionable but i'm also not as knowledgable of everything
