Gnosticism still seems like the most enlightening religion to me.It very may well be a 1st century religion, possibly older than the new testament. It is hard to know because their scripture was largely destroyed by the church. Gnostics may have been the original Christians.Gnosticism makes sense because YHWH is quite immoral and Jesus is quite moral. So it would make sense if YHWH was actually Yaldabaoth the blind demiurge. And Jesus was an enlightened teacher who brought us knowledge of our divine origins. It is not the same thing as God being good and satan being a fallen angel. In gnosticism, the physical world was created by a lesser being and thus it is entirely flawed and evil, and the only good exists inside of us, except those corrupted by material evil. The demiurge being an unintentional accident created by an angel makes more sense than God purposefully creating satan to deceive people as well.In gnosticism God (the monad) did not approve the demiurge's creation but in false Christianity God created satan himself.In gnosticism the real world (pleroma) is perfect and the material world was the demiurges flawed attempt to recreate the pleroma himself. Which is why the world seems almost perfect except for the obvious flaws lol.
