I find Himmler to be one of the most fascinating figures in Nazi Germany because of his obsession with the idea of the subhuman, subhumanity and fighting subhumanity. It completely devoured him as a person into starting a crusade against all forms of it.What can /his/ tell me about him?
>>18655790Can you imagine how hard Himmler seethed knowing Ernst Röhm was a highly decorated veteran meanwhile he missed out on the wae

>What can /his/ tell me about him?He was a very reasonable and rational man. He correctly predicted that a German victory of the Soviet Union would result in a situation, where many Germans would interbreed with Slavs, with Slavic servants and that this would eventually lead to a degeneration of their race. He thus concluded that the SS would always be necessary to combat that tendency and inertia of Empires. He even was able to have a very meta view of his own role in history and predictated that one day the SS might naturally end as an organization or devolve into something else and thus not the organization itself and it's survival is of the utmost importance, but the values and people they are supposed to represent. He pondered that one day there might be a successor of the SS, who will have similar goals and take up their mantle to continue their pursuit. That doesn't to me like an ideological fanatic, but someone, who is very well aware of his role in history, the extent of his temporary life and that he is not able to stand against the trends and forces of history, no matter how strongly he believes something, but that life will always go on, like it always does.

He was a vain, insecure opportunist who was essentially a social outcast before latching onto the Nazi party. Being an opportunist with no friends or social life, he was able to ass-kiss and back-stab his way up the ladder and ingratiate himself to Hitler early on. Every office in the world has someone like him in upper management, someone who is not particularly competent at their job or even liked by their coworkers but is still able to claw their way into a leadership position by sucking up to the right people.
>>18655925A most serious man indeed.
>>18655931How’d he get on good terms with Hitler?
>>18655939The only way that anyone ever got to be on good terms with him, just suck his dick
