Why is Third World migration such a problem right now? Why wasn't it such a big problem back then?
>>18656919Racial purity laws, plus they were often colonial subjects who had restricted freedom of movement, plus a lot would simply have been too poor to move (there's a reason there aren't millions of refugees from places like the DRC, they're still too poor and no one cares enough on the world stage to make it into an IssueTM)
>>18656919In Australia's case, it had an explicitly discriminatory system set in place and wasn't shy about it. Officials would even give some European immigrants "language tests" in fucking Scots Gaelic to make sure undesired Europeans couldn't pass it and enter the country either.

>>18656945Not really, Brits were exporting saars all over the world as laborers from the 19th century on. There are plenty today in Fiji, Assam (originally closer to the Southeast Asian kingdom as opposed to yet another Indian state), and across the British Caribbean. Hell, the whole Rohingya crisis in Burma is entirely because the Brits brought Indian Muslim workers over and left them there when they granted Burma independence which created tons of ethnic tension and dissonance

>>18656919It was always a problem and the travesties you see reported today happened in the past as well. The rape gangs in the UK were a decades-long phenomenon for example.
>>18656919Hard to move across continents when the planes didn't exist, ships were running on steam and the fastest form of transportation was a horse
there weren't as many thirdies before the agricultural revolution
>>18656919The world was less interconnected, no mass-emancipation, no NGO's facilitating it, stronger and more sensible governments, no free gibs, no internet, jews had less power
>>18656919The imperialist powers have destroyed the third world for the sake of profit. Of course the people want to escape their lives of poverty.
>>18656953Damn the Rohingya are literally Muslim jeets? No wonder it’s a crisis.
>>18656919Importing dark hell-spawned demons to serve as slaves for the children of God in their heavenly kingdom was not ideal, but manageable. Allowing dark hell-spawned demons to flood into the kingdom of heaven, destroying it and the children of God is complete insanity.
>>18656919The height of the Nuremberg moral regime came and went and so it became something people are more vocal about.
