I've seen a lot of threads about the Edo Period or the Shōwa Era.I like the Kamakura-Muromachi transition period more doe, More people should read about it. (The Taiheiki translation is cut too short though) The figures that appear after the initial fighting in 1333 and 1336 are pretty badass. The story of Prince Kaneyoshi is one of my favorites from the period.A quote I remember well about the Northern and Southern Courts was something like>Yesterday's loyalists, today's rebels. Yesterday's rebels, today's loyalists, those were the times of the Kenmu Emperor.
Also Kusunoki Masatsura paintings are tuff.
