Always kinda funny to remember that the execution was actually a last minute decision and a bit of a bungle up that the USSR didn't want to draw too much attention to. The original plan was to put the Tsar on trial, but the threat of advancing Whites liberating him spooked the Central Committee into ordering the execution.
The act itself was announced in a very down-low fashion and subsequent Soviet governments wouldn't really celebrate it too much, even choosing to demolish the house where it happened and just pave over the site to minimize its visibility. More of an awkward moment in history more so than a triumph lol.

Read about them and I think the Romanovs dug their own grave. They were way too clueless and insulated from Russian society.
Nicholas could have prevented the communist revolution ten times over the course of his reign and even when it blew up there were multiple opportunities for him to escape but he was too passive and resigned.

Despite his general reputation as a tyrant, pretty much everyone who knew him or seriously assessed his reign will tell you that he was just a weak man thrust onto the moth ruthless throne of Europe. He really was just a family guy who'd have happily spent the rest of his days living as typical nuclear family household dad, except he was born the son of one of Russia's most diehard reactionary tyrannical Tsars.

Tsar Nicholas stepped down from the thrown during WW1 and during a time where the Germans and Austrias were beating Russia. This is after he left the throne to take up front line commander duties as leader of his country. He did all of this because he felt it was for the good of Russia.

Lenin was a German agent sent to cause chaos in Russia. He instigated a civil war while he hid away at his families estate in Finland. He caused a massive war killing millions of Russians before he finally surrendered to Germany and gave them a huge chunk of Russian clay. After all this, a massive famine broke out to the point where former US President Herbert Hoover had to start a global food relief effort to save millions of Russian citizens from starving to death under the incompetent and evil rule of Bolsheviks psychopaths. Despite all this, Lenin STILL refused the aid until finally relenting since Russia was facing biblical levels of starvation.

It really highlights what kind of person each man was and I think it really says something that today, only weird, fucked up, drug addict, pajama pants biosludge people praise Lenin as some sort of hero.

Nah, just good old-fashioned Jewish blood vengeance. The man who led the murder squad was a Jew. The man who ordered the murders was also a Jew. This was just Jews getting revenge for the 1903 Kishinev pogrom.

Also doesn’t help that he tried to cover his weakness and lack of statescraft skills with try-hard stubborness.
