Nah, I'd started it started to become really gay somewhere after the Peace of Westphalia and the English Civil War but before the Glorious Revolution. That's when this whole gay stuff about the rights of man and the separation of powers started popping up, but also when the French Ancien Régime took its classical form and King Louis XIV popularized gay clothing items like stockings and high-heels for men.
That was basically when the last bit of Renaissance-era manliness and chivalry died and everything got filled with excessive pomp and decour.
