>>18661268The problem is that if you go too far back into the past, you'll come across human beings who didn't have many of the mutations that people living nowadays in different parts of the world had. Even though people like the Cheddar Man might have been the ancestors of present-day English people, they probably wouldn't cluster that closely with English people, and would instead just show generic Mesolithic sequences that could be misidentified as, say, being of West African, East African, or Arabian origin, but then again, even those populations have suffered from mutations too, so Mesolithic-era people would probably not have much easily distinguishable affinity with anybody who's alive right now.

As far as I'm aware, the only thing contradicting such a conclusion would be that DNA study on the Takarori people.I'm no geneticist, though according to some of the amateurs I follow, there actually is evidence for the Takarori having had significant ancestry from a Sub-Saharan ghost population, which would align with both the aforementioned facts alongside the fact that the Takarori did not live in an area conducive to genetic isolation (something which was explicitly noted by experts in response to the studies results).
