>>18662373It's a metaphor.Most creatures on Earth live naturally in harmony with the Holy Spirit. This blissful ignorant existence is the Garden Eden. Humanity also used to live in this state. Maybe when we still lived like Chimps or maybe even still later on when we started to walk upright.When humanity gained a higher understanding about themselves and their surroundings, they removed themselves from the natural order. They put themselves above it. They figuratively ate from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge and became less like animals and a little bit closer to the divine. We gained the ability to shape the world around us to our needs and to adapt ourselves consciously rather than just evolutionary, but this also disrupted our natural connection to the Holy Spirit. It takes active conscious effort to re-establish this connection. You have to actively seek it and you have to get rid of the societal chains we created and bound ourselves with. Like obsessions with money and owning things. Status and pretense. Fears and anxieties.
