I'm an araboid diaspora in the West and so Arabic is basically my second language, since learning and familiarizing myself with Arabic I have noticed i can understand so much of the Q'uran pretty easily than before yet i continually see this statement "Arabs today don't even understand the Qu'ran, Quranic arabic is not the same as what is used in the Arab world today"? No Arabic teacher says this it's all secular historians and non-Arabs saying it?

MSA is close enough to quranic arabic than any of the living dialects. if you learned MSA you are correctly positioned to read the quran but not to comment on it. someone who only speaks some natural living 'dialect' of arabic is shit out of luck, though.
