Why do Religious people tend to have more children than Atheists?

It’s as if irreligion is selected against on an evolutionary basis.
>>
For the same reason why the U.S. birth decline is being driven by leftists
>>
Evolution selects against intelligence judging by the birth rates. We could have 500 iq geniuses by now if it werent the case.
>>
Stupid people have more children lol.
>>
Lower levels of female education. There is a reason we really want “girls in schools” in shitholes like Africa / India.

Two things really. 1. Populations in underdeveloped countries tend to have more children and tend to be more religious with no inherent relation between the two. 2. Some religions like certain forms of Judaism and Christianity pushes baby-making a lot. Some other anons may expand on this but its basically that.
>It’s as if irreligion is selected against on an evolutionary basis.
Memetic Darwinism, yes.

But this phenomenon is also true in developed first world countries, and the birth rates for migrants from underdeveloped countries flatlined and is below 1.9 tfr.

Yeah that's true. I was just oversimplifying it as I was too lazy to bother with a full answer
>>
>>18663826
Yeah but if rationalize yourself out of existence because of shit like effective altruism or because of climate change and overpopulation fears there’s actually nothing more stupid than that.

Elite overproduction = smart retard phenomenon + irreligious = selected against

Roman Catholics: “Have as many a God gives you! God said to multiply!”
Mormons: More than one wife? Nah… we decided we get an entire planet when we die. All of the people on it are women and I am the only man.
The Koran: “We get 72 virgins because King Solomon had 72 wives!”
The Holy Bible: Examples include Hannah praying for just 1 baby, Samuel. Elizabeth praying and getting to have John the Baptist.
Lo, children are the heritage of the Lord.
I’m not Roman Catholic, but I received in faith 3 boys and 3 girls from the fruit of my wife of my youth’s womb who promised to marry me twice 33 years apart, with the same name as me, as thirdborns together, and we are each other’s completely unrelated twin by divine convergence by God’s plan. We have the same sibling structures and so by God’s Spirit I immediately wanted to marry her at six years old and wanted to have this family. Since she said “name, I have the red hair like your best friend, love like you have never loved me before. Can you ever get over my sister’s childhood promise to marry you and marry me instead?” She was one year old and I was six years old and my heart immediately wanted to marry the third one like me. Her sister was oldest and therefore the same age as me. God used her to say “I’m going to marry you!!,” “maybe (( her name which is the same name as me)))…” I grew up with all three of them across the street, this happened on my own back porch. It is also when I accepted Jesus Christ a my Lord and Savior at six years old, and prayed and gave it to Jesus my marriage in faith. Waited and in prayer and in faithfulness. There is things that happened over the course of this childhood promises from Heaven. Like a prophecy was actually fulfilled. Spiritual influences even while we lived separate lives. I prayed and received that they are also red haired, emerald green eyed, and twins each. Yes, boy and girl twins. Because of me and my wife being convergent.

Materialism. Irreligious people tend to be more focused on their own material wants and see children as an needless expense that impedes the attainment of their material wants.
>>
>>18663816
Humans did indeed evolve to be religious. Being an atheist is unnatural, even if it's factually correct. Religion helps humans cope with self-awareness.
>>

It's just the traditional family roles. If a woman is busy spending her fertile years creating a career, she won't have many babies, regardless of what gods she believes in.

same reason lower iq retards breed more (they are low iq).

atheism is a jewish psyop

high iq people see that the world is shit, and most are not born rich, so whats the point of comitting to work x4 as hard my whole life to support a wife that will divorce rape me in 5-10 years and kids who after a dozen or so generations wont be any more closer to me genetically than a random person of that future society?

unless i know i can shield my kids from almost all the bullshit in the world and make their life easy, its not worth spawning a consciousness just for my own pleasure of having a kid, which is the main reason most have kids over.

i would rather enjoy what i can in this shit world until its over.

Believing that god himself is a jew and he previously had jews as his special chosen people that was pushing you to destroy all european religions but not judaism on the other hand...

IQ is not a measure of evolutionary fitness. There's plenty of smart autistic computer science trannies who will obviously never procreate

>Why do Religious people tend to have more children than Atheists?
There is no straightforward direct cause, but they are much less likely to use contraceptives, for one. And to boot, less likely to use even natural family planning. High religiosity is correlated with poverty, rurality, a lack of education, strict control of women, and poor access to resources.

>It’s as if irreligion is selected against on an evolutionary basis.
Ideology is not genetically inherited, so no. You are equivocating. Social, cultural, political, economic, and ideological arrangements have different conditions for survival than biological organisms, they are under a different type of selection, though no less ruthless.

All these high TFR religious groups are unstable and basically parasitic of the secular society they are embedded in anyway. They aren't viable replacements for it.

>"Children do not happen, not because children have become impossible, but principally because intelligence at the peak of intensity can no longer find any reason for their existence. "

It's not even a measure of social fitness, by itself. But we live in bizarre times.
