There is no evidence of Judaism before the Maccabees, allies of Rome since 161 BC...https://youtu.be/SBsdljOm4pc?si=BcD F0CHbZb6vj8ep
What are you trying to say exactly OP? Not watching your video.I think we at least have good circumstantial evidence of the existence of Judaism simply from the fact that it's an obvious variation of the much older Mesopotamian religion.I do find it weird that there aren't much older copies of Jewish texts thought.
>>18664076there werent any mentions ot circumstantial evidence of the existence of adam, abraham, noah, moses, etc. the fact that a bunch of people worshipped one of the mesopotamian storm gods doesn't mean that judaism existed lol. older copies of the jewish texts don't exist because they never existed.
>>18664076The vast majority of the region’s inhabitants still continued to worship Canaanite gods deep into the Persian period, long after the Babylonian exile. Monotheism did not exist prior to the Maccabean revolt
>>18664256Your basis for saying this?
JUDAISM WAS FOUNDED AGAINST CHRISTIANITY IN THE MIDDLE AGES; BEOFRE THEN, THERE WERE MOSAIC SECTS.
>>18664537judaism existed before christianity lol, and jesus was a jewish rabbi whose followers eventually split off from judaism. christianity emerged from this jewish movement and developed into a distinct (but still jewish) religion.

Nah Judaism is old, but out of the 12-13 tribes only 1-2 survived (probably culled the others)
>>18664624yes.
>>18664256The whole reason for the Maccabean revolt was the emperor trying to force Jews to not be monotheistic. Obviously the monotheism did not originate right then.
>>18664076canaanite polytheism does not originate in mesopotamia, what are you talking about?
