Infinite suffering for finite crimes commited on Earth is not justified.

Christianity is irreconcilable with TRVE philosophy.
>>
>>18664867
Show me where it says he does in the gospels or the old testament. Eternal hell is an invention by later Christians.
>>
>>18664867
The premise isn't quite right. Christianity doesn't teach that Yahweh arbitrarily tortures people forever simply because they committed a few finite crimes. Hell is understood as the consequence of definitively rejecting God, not as God assigning an infinite torture sentence to every individual sin.

The real Christian argument is that if God is the source of life and goodness itself, then freely and permanently rejecting Him has an eternal consequence. You can disagree with that idea, especially over whether eternal punishment is just, but saying “finite crimes deserve infinite suffering” oversimplifies the actual Christian position.

>God is the source of life and goodness itself
is punishing innocent people for the crimes of others good? is creating natural disasters which kill hundreds of thousands of people across the world including children and babies good?
>>
>>18664996
Yeah nigga
more seriously read (Ezekiel 18:20) and put in your brain that god does not create natural disasters in real time , he created earth with it's beauties and struggles , for the man to choose beetween good and evil , and to have a fair experiance beetween good and evil , so jus bc evil exists on earth does not mean that god enjoys suffering but that he created earth balanced beetween good and evil also if you still whine like a baby about the children they are very very likely to be saved from eternal damnation.
>>
>>18665031
>if you still whine like a baby about the children they are very very likely to be saved from eternal damnation
So if I want to salvationmaxx, I should murder children to send them to heaven, gotcha.
>>
>>18665031
>god does not create natural disasters in real time
"the shooter that set up a machine gun to fire every month randomly is not killing people like in REAL TIME so its not his fault"
>>
>>18665045
A sailor is still at mercy to the sea.
>>
>>18665040
That doesn't actually disprove my point. Saying a child might be saved after suffering or dying doesn't explain why an omnipotent and perfectly good God would allow the child to suffer or die in the first place. You can't answer the problem of evil by saying ‘don't worry, they get Heaven afterward.’ If anything, that just changes the question from ‘why did God allow this suffering?’ to ‘why was the suffering necessary at all?’”
>>
>>18665057
god created the tsunamis knowing it will drown innocent babies, try again retard
>>
>>18665045
The machine-gun analogy doesn't disprove what I said. I never argued that something has to happen in real time for you to be responsible for it. Obviously, if you deliberately set up a machine knowing it will kill people, you're responsible. The point is that natural disasters aren't God repeatedly deciding to kill specific people. If your argument is that God is still morally responsible because he knowingly created a world in which natural disasters occur and could prevent them, then yes he is but saying that he'ss evil because he created an imperfect earth and imperfect human beings is retarded as.humanity would be worthless to be created if evil didn't happen the whole point of this life is that good and evil happens and that you should choose beetween them (beetween god and sin , beetween good and evil) if it didn't happen it would be heaven and the whole point of humanity disapears
>>
>>18665063
Moot creates a website, for retards like you to post dumbfuck shit. Is it Moot's fault that you're retarded?
The Bible is littered with sins of the father. Is it God's fault that Romans built a city under Vesuvius?
>>
>>18665071
"god choosing on purpose to have babies drowned for no fault of their own is fine bro"
>humanity would be worthless to be created if evil didn't happen the
>the whole point of humanity disapears
so the point of humanity is for god to have someone to torture, got it
>>
>>18665082
moot isnt omniscient nor omnipotent, try again christcuck

god created natural disasters out of his own choice despite not having to in order to kill innocents
>>
>>18665087
God as a prime mover is an enumerated concept, brainlet. I was just communicating in words, and failing apparently, that any idiot should understand.
>>
>>18665095
you believing that god was the first to create everything has nothing to do with the argument that he chose to create a world where innocents get killed for no reason other than god wanted it to be so.

and you cant prove prime mover was neccessary anyway since everything could have just been eternal.
>>

>I build my house on a beach that will erode into a landslide and kill me as I sleep
>this is somehow God's fault for creating the oceans
Nah nigga. I'm telling you that theological works have had peoples' lives dedicated to explaining this, but you're too stupid to open a book.
>>
>>18665110
>>I build my house on a beach that will erode into a landslide and kill me as I sleep
notice how the christcuck has to constantly make false analogies because he cant argue against what actually happens in reality?

why did god create natural disasters that at no fault of any human killed millions and millions throughout history, many of which were children and babies who were innocent?
you literally cant answer because your moral system is a joke.
>>
>>18665115
Notice how you're illiterate, and through multiple allegories or direct instruction, still can't grasp a point? I'll disengage now, talking to the retarded is exhausting.
>>
>>18665129
thats right christcuck, run away from the question that isnt an imaginary false analogy but actual reality:

why did god create natural disasters that at no fault of any human killed millions and millions throughout history, many of which were children and babies who were innocent?
>>
Because people actually enjoy hell. Why do you think that guy always says "enjoy hell"
>>
>>18664867
Do other planets have their own hells too? Or there's only a he'll for everyone in the universe? Maybe the demons that live there are just the spirits of aliens.
>>
>>18665487
I'm not joking, I really want to know.
>>
>>18665487
Every world system has its own hell, every world doesn't
>>
>>18664894
go away with your headcanon. the majority of christians believe in hell, why do you think your contrarian act matters here?
>>
>>18665565
The majority also believes in other later nonsense like not going to sunday mass being a mortal sin or being able to pray to angels or saints instead of directly to God.

It's not head canon, the religion changed over time. And for some reason theologians and folklore overrule the actual supposed holy people of the book. And that's how you end up with people like you who complain about how evil God is for doing something only theologians agree he does, entirely based on sophistry.
>>
>>18665129
running away doesn't answer those questions.
>>
>>18665574
1) so far my only other post in this thread was the oneyou replied to.
2) sane people don't waste time trying to figure out the true nature of a fairy tale character. this thread, and all similar threads, are about the things a large and not very smart fraction of humanity believes. it's the social phenomenon of being a run-of-the-mill christian that is the subject here, not the properties of a fictional god.
>>
>>18665577
Oh okay, you're just here to mock Christians. Have fun I guess. I did not want to interrupt the mud slinging.
>>
>>18664867
they deserved it because God decreed it so, repent and salvation may be delivered, stay ignorant and it'll be your fate too
>>
>>18664867
The soul and will of man and woman is the purpose. We are talking about people who God verifiably gave their entire life as a gauge to see if they would ever repent and get saved. Since they went to their death not getting saved, this means they never will. The purpose of the story of Lazarus was to tell you that. The rich man begged, please let me out, I’ll go tell people so they won’t come here. But he was told it wouldn’t change anything. Why? Because that was the truth. Want to know what the rich man would have done? Go immediately back to not caring or repenting. He would also likely create his own army against believers, seeking some sort of finite war before he dies again to get back at God before he goes back to hell.”but it’s only for finite suffering they caused!” No, that finite suffering turns into infinite suffering when you let these people out. So God already condemned sin to a place where it is stopped.
>>
>>18665031
>more seriously read (Ezekiel 18:20) and put in your brain
There are bible passages where god is described as the creator of the good and the bad. It contradicts your claim.
>>
>>18665803
NTA but once you look into those passages and context you will see it says calamities or disasters, not evil per se
>>
>>18664906
>The real Christian argument is that if God is the source of life and goodness itself, then freely and permanently rejecting Him has an eternal consequence. You can disagree with that idea, especially over whether eternal punishment is just, but saying “finite crimes deserve infinite suffering” oversimplifies the actual Christian position.
That sounds like a very jewish argument.
>>
>>18665806
>not evil per se
That's your interpretation of it.
>calamities or disasters
So you concede that god is behind disasters?
>>
>>18665812
NTA means "not that Anon" so I don't have a position to concede from within this discussion, >>18665806 was my first post here. As far as interpretations go, yes, I did adapt that one based on textual analysis and the usage of the word in other passages by the same prophet. If you think your interpretation is more coherent, I invite you to make your case.
>>
>>18665082
>Is it God's fault that Romans built a city under Vesuvius?
absolutely. he did not have to create volcanoes, for a start.
>>
>>18665585
well, not *just* to mock christians, but they leave me little choice.
