If God exists, why didn't he stop this guy's heart in the first few days?

the whole “doctors kept him alive out o his will” is a made-up story that unfairly slanders the doctors

they kept him alive under the family’s request
that is the point of being a doctor anyways

if there is a bad guy in this story, it’s the company’s mishandling of radiation

Ouchi is hardly an outlier in the practice of medicine. Statistically, 60% of all medical expenses are incurred by people in the last year of life, and 40% are incurred the last month of life.

Most people spend the end of their lives suffering the pain and indignity of countless surgeries carried out by doctors who know their patient is 100% going to die regardless of what they do, yet they still carry out one procedure after another until the hapless patient succumbs to the inevitable.

Because once you are in the hands of doctors, you are giving your ultimate care to them and not God. Don’t you know why Jesus asked you what you believe first before healing you? The reasons for Jesus’ life and actions were already written about in the Old Testament. Things like in Haggai where it says the church will become a place of peace and become better and better over time. Hence why revelation talks about the kingdom of heaven descending out of heaven itself and being streets of gold and city walls of transparent gold and the kinds of power inside would be like fire and lightning, rainbows around the throne and seas of crystal. God is offering His aid, but you have to take it. My grandma nearly died in hospital because of the doctors and nurses not doing anything. My mom decided to give her antibiotics and she immediately came to life. They would have just let her die of a UTI in the bed. Jesus saves. So he died like that so that the curses in His Word could become true. I.e. those who turn to works of their own hands. Becoming horrors and shocking things.
