Chip makers speak in assembly and machine code, they need to know how their chips work on a fundamental level, so even if AI is being used for chip design, they aren't designs that are being rushed to market without considerable auditing and human oversight

One such example is the recent AI Coca-Cola Christmas Ad because what ended up happening is while Coke was able to lay off their creative marketing team, they had to replace them with a team of AI engineers to audit the entire project and tweak the model to conform to Coke's standards, but this actually ended up costing the company more than if they were to just produce the ad normally. At the end of the day it was just a gimmick for Coke's shareholders to make it look like the company had their finger on the current pulse of technological development regardless
