Why do luddies turn out to be wrong?
Because of Say's Law
>>18674360The first 3 inventions were genuinely revolutionary and have practical real life applications. There's nothing revolutionary about AI and its productivity improvement is in the digital realm (basically fake). Computer chips and new material advances are way more important.
>>18674360Actually every time they were right. The world just kept getting worse. The matter upon which they were wrong was thinking they could stop it.Always bet on gas.
Remember when NFTs were going to transform society about three years ago?
>>18674360this is like the one soijak bait image that nobody on the internet is falling for
>Australian music charts ban AI content>Suno and Sora are getting sued to oblivion by Hollywood and Record Labels for blatantly stealing terabytes of copyrighted material for their training data>Artists are already hesitant to use AI in their workflow because machine generated content has no copyright protectionsAI bros...it can't end like this, AI was supposed to be the futureā¢
>>18674364>durr no one ever saves thier money>durr unions never artificially raise labor cost>durr supply line fuckups never happengood law I guess
>>18674371ai is literally helping us advance chip architecture beyond what weak human minds can achieve.
>>18674375Everyone who missed out on bitcoin thought this would be their chance to finally cash in lol
>>18674384Turns out the ((((lawyers))))) were actually protecting us from ourselves all along.
>>18674388That's not how chip design works. You don't make major architecture revisions without understanding how it works. Chip makers speak in assembly and machine code, they need to know how their chips work on a fundamental level, so even if AI is being used for chip design, they aren't designs that are being rushed to market without considerable auditing and human oversight
>>18674391human auditing is the only way this ai crap is worth a fuck, but ai is still a big part of the iterative process, because ai can model 10,000 shitty version to create the 1 version that moves the needle. Don't get me wrong, ai should be murdered in the crib, but ((((shareholders))))) won't allow that, so here we are.
>>18674395Human auditing is specifically why AI is being relegated to a design tool and isn't the revolutionary thing techbros hype it out to be. One such example is the recent AI Coca-Cola Christmas Ad because what ended up happening is while Coke was able to lay off their creative marketing team, they had to replace them with a team of AI engineers to audit the entire project and tweak the model to conform to Coke's standards, but this actually ended up costing the company more than if they were to just produce the ad normally. At the end of the day it was just a gimmick for Coke's shareholders to make it look like the company had their finger on the current pulse of technological development regardless
>>18674360Unironic reactionaries, as in people who try to turn back technological progress because it threatens their positions as freelancers and artisans. In other words they fear that the new technology will force them to become a wage worker.
>>18674410It seems like reactionaries are the ones pushing for AI the hardest though because they think it'll lead to some accelerationist technocracy
>>18674360The mumber of workers in the textule industry increased a thousand fold despite the luddites predictions. The luddites weren't about protecting jobs but their gatekeeping their position as manufacturers.
>>18674384>hesitantMore like militantly against it to the edge of terrorism
>>18674456It makes sense, AI art generators are made specifically for people who don't like making art, so naturally artists themselves will be opposed to it
>>18674412You two are using reactionary in different senses.
>>18674375>Remember when NFTs were going to transform society about three years ago?Nobody thought that except biz cucks.>>18674360The lesser minds are caged to the past and can't see the future. There is a reason trannies hate ai the most.
>>18674471>trannies out of nowhere Seen urgent psychological assistance.
>>18674481>>trannies out of nowhereNope. Trannies are notorious for hating ai
>>18674486Spend a lot of time monitoring trannies do you freak?
>>18674502he's not actually a transphobe anon, he's trolling 4chuds with the "why do leftists hate AI so much??" type posts that are all over /pol/ these days
