Ok, one coincidenceThere are more
Who is the devil?Yahweh is satan, or the devil.
>>18686748that there is only one God and it ain't the jew devil
>>18686748What about the part of the OT where God and Satan are talking to each other?
>>18686763The OT is a mixture of different texts. Not all are yahwist, but most.I don't know what to make of this part. But it cannot cancel out the other parts.
>>18686748The Book of Revelation is widely misunderstood.>Judea was occupied by Rome during the advent of Christianity in the 1st century.>Those Jews who resisted Roman rule were killed while those who gave in where spared.>Slaves were marked on the hands and condemned men were marked on the head by Roman authorities - which is where the idea of the "Mark of the Beast (Nero)" comes from.Nero is the Beast (Satan) of Revelation.>When you actually look at the original text, you'll see that in this passage, the letters of 666 are actually written in Hebrew, which places a higher significance on numbers meaning words and words meaning numbers than ancient Greek. The writer was very clearly trying to tell us something.>And sure enough, if you translate the Hebrew spelling of 666, you actually spell out Neron Kesar - the Hebrew spelling of Nero Caesar.>Even if you take the alternative spelling of the number of the beast, which has been found in several early Biblical texts as being written 616, you can translate that out as being Nero Cesar. It could only be a coincidence if just 666 or 616 could be translated out to Nero's name, but not both.
>>18686822>The OT is a mixture of different texts. So is the entire book. The idea of what and who Satan was changed over time. Unless you maybe count one verse of Wisdom he isn't portrayed as evil throughout the Old Testament, he's just a guy who works for God. Even the bit in 1 Chronicles seems to just be a rewrite to make it less awkward for God to be doing this thing directly rather than delegating it. I don't know why I wouldn't interpret it as "God had Satan incite David">Not all are yahwist, but most.Is "yahwist" meaningful to use outside of the Torah?

OP… please, take your meds. I’m not even memeing. I’m concerned for your wellbeing.
>>18686748It's almost like Revelation John read the old testament before he chugged his mushroom tea or whatever he did to get those visions.

It really was a mistake to add Revelation to the New Testament. Unless they really wanted that shizo audience.
>>18686748Whats the difference between a convenant and a pact?
> “Call her Lo-Ruhamah (which means “not loved”), for I will no longer show love to Israel, that I should at all forgive them." >“Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.">“Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them,>‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’>>18688109>Whats the difference between a convenant and a pact?
>Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes>and love the sacred raisin cakesAlright, this is one step too far for me...
>>18688134>sacred raisin cakes>During the historic White House wedding of Lynda Bird Johnson (daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson) in 1967, the couple served a massive 6-foot-tall pound cake baked with raisins.

But if OT God is Lucifier then why does Jesus constantly say he came to fulfill OT prophecies and laws? I don't get it.
