I always knew that the Inquisition and Catholic Church was wary of the existence of witches for the most part, hence why there were so few executions in Spain compared to HRE, Scotland, or France. But I thought of it more like a "broken clock being right twice a day" kind of thing.

But it wasn't until /his/ that I actually found out about other aspects that made the Inquisition nothing like whatever Monty Python, Voltaire, Poe, or Anglo-Protestant education taught me, such as their limited torture, low execution rate, and a heads-up notice.

Awareness is slowly but steadily growing of the realization that medieval Europe and almost everything about the Catholic church have been bracketed by lies and propaganda for centuries by hostiles now.

I am not well versed in that part of history since I don't care for it that much so I invite you even to shit on me but humor me this.
Wasn't the entire point of the creation of Spanish Inquisition to stop jews from literally collapsing Spain and actually address the problem of tolerating all the vile shit they do and aren't even shy about simply because they are christian forefathers and all Inquisition did is just force them to create and foster cult of jesuits which somehow furthered jewish infiltration of catholic church further more than already thought possible?

If anything like always, the faggot ancestors you're so proud about didn't go far enough to even address the problem and are entirely responsible for every evil of today...

The numbers mean nothing, nobody should ever be required to follow Christianity, period. There should be no legal penalty for blasphemy, apostasy, or heresy.

You saw that Iraqi madman butcher that got 10 years for serving a bit of ground pork in his ground beef?

Based.

No, the Inquisition was not humane. There’s a reason why multiple popes tried to rein in the Inquisition. They were constantly abusing their power and torturing and stealing from innocent people with impunity and they repeatedly ignored and tried to get around the Pope trying to check their power. And this is all ignoring the fact that there’s no humane way to torture people and execute people for disagreeing with you.

Inquisition was usually preferable to the local "secular" investigators, because at least inquisitors had some semblance of following proedures

Dumb of this meme to blame Voltaire and Monty Python instead of Protestants

Not too long ago actually. Maybe 3-4 months ago. I think I found about it while reading up on exotic torture instruments on wikipedia, or maybe it was witches. I doubt that they were any better than anyone else though, just that they were smeared and that they weren't any worse.

Not at all. When Spain began to compel Jews to convert, the many that did faced a problem. Leaving the church was illegal, and people are still dicks. So you had a lot of instances where business rivals, an unfriendly neighbor, a spurned lover, and so on would accuse a converted Jew, or converso of being a marrano, or a still practicing Jew. The inquisition investigated these accusations, and punished both false accusations and false conversion. For the time period they were remarkably fair. What’s funny is that there were also accounts of Jews in ghettos before full expulsion that made false claims because they were mad at the conversos.

when will this attempt at catholic whitewashing cease?

The Pope also tried to stop the Reconquista. Popes are cucks and their positions are not evidence for anything.
