Who is the one with the illusion? Can we truly know? But for the man dreaming, his dream is the truth. For the man awake his wakefulness is the truth. Why can't both be true? The only reason you could say they can't be is if you accept the principle of non-contradiction. But this principle, as said above, cannot be demonstrated. Everything, and every perception of reality then, is true.

For example, someone destroys your car while you are away and you can't know who did it, every person can have it's theory or opinion of who did it, but then you find out that there is a video of the person breaking your car. The truth in that case is only 1, that person in the video was who did it. There is no personal opinion or point of view possible.If by truth we are talking about what a person believes then there can be many truths but I don't think that a what a crazy person believes should be taken seriously, for example, or also a religious or political fanatic.I have already met 2 persons that think that there is no truth that everyone has it's truth and I think that is stupid. There are themes in which people can have their personal opinions because there is no solid fact that shows what happened but then there are other things that everyone normal agrees as truth. For example, killing children is bad. Everyone sane in this world agrees that is one of the worst things to do. There is no other personal truths.
