If you're apriori set on juxtaposing things against death, there is nothing anyone here can do for you to disprove that any more than a Bible-belt Christian can be talked out of Jesus being the answer for everything. It's a question of perspective and the only way you can be talked out of a completely reductive perspective is to find its limits. In this case, the limits are rather difficult: you would have to actually cope with death and then see how all the things you liked before didn't suddenly diminish, meaning they couldn't have been "just" cope.

Most people under the age of like 30 don't even think about dying, not seriously, anyway. Even if they've had a near-death experience or lost a loved one, this at best causes only a momentary reflection on their own mortality. It still feels like something far off, and not relevant to them. Once you get into your middle years, though, thoughts about death and dying only increase. Past 40, the idea that you might have less than half your life ahead of you become more frequent, and from that point on, basically everything you do is a cope or distraction from your impending mortality.

You can create an AI to keep things running, but imagine after a few years you check on your AI and it has merged into something else you no longer recognize is from you because you just can’t control everything. Even one photon flying through a CPU could have organically shifted something in the entire system after enough time. In fact God says in His Word that the wicked are like walking messages of God due to them becoming / wearing / acting in such ways through even their rejection and confusion and anger, things which message what they are confused with God about. Which is why God told us to love our enemies. Love is how God divides through consent and creates the different bodies. I have an odd way of looking at this. If death just lights out GG well played and that is what everyone gets regardless that is actually a comforting thought. You get to escape into nothingness. Also, it's really easy to believe this in the contemporary West and people will call you "brave". Now if there is life after death and you are eternal that is actually very anxiety provoking. What if there is a spirit world? What if things like heaven and hell, the aerial toll houses, reincarnation, angels and demons, etc are real? What if there is a kind of judgement? It's really the other way around. So, kind of makes one not want to fuck it up. If it just lights out, then oh well but if it's not you don't want to be unprepared.
