The man who basically makes haters of the "Great Man" theory seethe.There people who argue that removing Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar will not change history but Genghis?No Mongol leader besides him could possibly achieve the heights he has led. At best, they would have conquered China like the Jin and the Liao did but Genghis Khan led the Mongols to conquer not just China but Central Asia, the Middle East and Russia.

>>18697459Chinggis was not alive for most of that. He led the conquest of Central Asia, Iran, and the Western Xia, and parts of the Jin. Impressive and consequential. But, his successors did the rest. The Abassids, China proper, Russia, order of Assassins, Korea etc.
According to Jared Diamond there is no such thing as "great men" and Genghis Khan happened because it rained more than usual in Mongolia that year.
