I greatly enjoy the literature and history podcast. Each episode examines a great work of literature and then uses it to explain the history of the time and place that produced it. It's really enjoyable.

you prob already know these but hardcore history by dan carlin and in our time are great. behind the bastards is also pretty good if you can handle a bunch of banter/random offtopic shit and don't hate the hosts. i think robert evans is pretty cool but the guests can be super hit or miss
