Why did John Locke never write anything about Charles I? He was definitely in London, and most likely at school the day of Charles' execution. Which would place him extremely close to the place of execution. A guy from his school also said he could hear the scream from in the library.This was arguably the most eventful day in Locke's life, never had a monarch been beheaded by their own people before in England.It's hard to believe that one of the most influential political writers of all time never mentioned the fact that his own monarch was beheaded.
